I"m convinced this bird is actually a dinosaur and I"ll die on that hill.
- It is named the most dangerous bird in the world
- Males take the sole responsibility of the chicks
- The crest atop their head is called a casque, and they can be so unique that individual cassowaries can be identified by their casque
- Cassowaries are part of the Rattite family, which puts it at the dinner table with ostriches, emus, and kiwis
- They are shy in the wold, but have been known to attack people if they feel threatened or if a male thinks his chicks are in danger
- They"re flightless as they are too heavy to do so. They do have wings but they are very small (and I thought it would look weird if I didn"t draw them in lmao)

No arguments here, birds are actually dinosaurs.
But my personal adage for the cass is "the only bird with a body count".
