The Lucario looked at the diaper in his hands. He knew what it was. He knew how it worked. He just didn’t really know what to do with it. Humans rarely crossed paths with him, in fact he made an effort to avoid them.

As he considered just tossing it aside, he picked up something with his aura senses. A Riolu. Not far away, and not feeling happy either.

Feeling obliged to investigate a member of his own species, Lucario headed in that direction. He didn’t have to get much closer to figure out what was going on. “You useless puppy dog! You can’t even beat one Pidgey?”

That was definitely a human voice, and from the whimper he was hearing they were yelling at the Riolu. Jumping over a nearby hill, Lucario saw a Pidgeotto flying away while an exhausted looking Riolu was cowering from a human with a pink shirt and a cowboy vest.

“What the…? A Lucario!?” Damian’s angry face broke into a wicked grin. “Perfect! I can upgrade from this weakling to you!” He pointed at the newly appeared Pokemon. “Riolu! Get it with Force Palm!”

Despite being visibly tired, Riolu raised its little arms and charged. Lucario stepped out of the way, letting the little Pokemon run past him and trip.

“Worthless.” Damian snarled. He pulled out a Pokeball and threw it on the ground. “That’s it! Get out of here, I have no use for a weakling like you!”

Riolu looked between its former trainer, the discard Pokeball and the Lucario. After just another moment of hesitation and confusion, it picked itself up and ran away into the woods. Lucario watched it go, trying to keep track of it with aura sense.

“I have a much better replacement now!” With a wicked grin, Damian pulled out an Ultra Ball. “Just come with me and everything will be sunshine and rainbows, big guy.” The trainer reeled his arm back. “Go-!”

Faster than Damian could react, Lucario rushed forward.

“-Ultra-?”

With a glowing hand, Lucario thrust his palm into Damian’s stomach. The trainer slumped to the ground, paralyzed from the Force Palm. “-..ball…?”

Lucario looked at the young man lying on the ground and looked at the item in his hand. Fate had a funny way of working out. The immobile Damian couldn’t resist as the canine Pokemon stripped him naked. “What-are…”

Finally, just as the paralysis was wearing off, Lucario wrapped the diaper around Damian’s waist. The human stood on shaky legs, trying to cover up. “What are you doing?”

Damian looked down at the puffy diaper around his waist. “Is this some kind of joke? Let’s see how you like it when I catch you!” He hobbled over to his discarded clothing. “Where’s that Ultra-olu? Rioulu rio?”

He froze and clasped a furry hand to his mouth. “Rio ril!?” (“What’s happening to me?”)

Blue fur was growing all over, and he could feel his nose extend! “Rio!!” Damian panicked as he watched the world grow larger around him! The Lucario growing into a giant!

No wait, he was shrinking! By the time he stopped shrinking he was smaller than the Riolu that had run away. “Riooo!” (“Noo!! I’m a… a baby Pokemon?”)

“Of course you are. You’ve always been a Riolu.”

Damian flinched in shock. “What? Did you just talk?”

Lucario smiled gently. “Silly child, Pokemon can easily talk to each other.”

“We can?” The Riolu formerly known as Damian blinked in confusion. “Why did I say “we”? I’m not a Pokemon!” He growled at Lucario. “Change me back!” He fumed as Lucario chuckled at his request. “Stop laughing at me, big brother!”

Damian blinked in confusion. Why did he call him that? This Lucario wasn’t his big brother! Even if he was a Lucario and he was a Riolu, so it made sense.

“No! I’m not a Pokemon! I’m a human! A human!” Damian chanted, trying to stop his mind as he felt it actively changing. “Human! Human! Human… human?”

What about humans? Why was Riolu talking about them again? There was something important that he was forgetting.

“Wait, uhh…” He looked around, trying to get his bearings before spotting the discarded clothing nearby. “Uh oh!” He scuttered over to Lucario, his diaper making him waddle. “There’s humans nearby~ What-what should we do?”

With a chuckle, Lucario scooped up the transformed young man. “We’ll leave this place, and never come back. How does that sound?” Riolu nodded, hugging the larger Pokemon’s arm. “Now, let’s see where your big brother went.”
