finally done a proper refsheet after nearly 9 years
Radon was born and raised in the small village called Ilyria in the kingdom of Vergeniac, he grew up dreaming of becoming a knight like the one he heard in the stories and bard's songs: brave, fearless and loyal to the king and the people.
When he was sixteen, he got his chance to fulfill his dream. A group of knights visited his village, looking for recruits to join the king’s army. Radon impressed them with his enthusiasm and his strategies. He was accepted as a squire, and left his home to follow his new mentors.
He trained under the guidance of the knights, learning how to fight with sword and shield, how to ride a horse, how to follow orders, and how to behave with dignity and respect. He also learned about the history and culture of Vergeniac, and the laws and customs that governed it. He swore an oath to serve and protect King Tharion, who was revered as a wise and benevolent ruler.
Radon proved himself to be a talented and dedicated squire. He earned the trust and friendship of his fellow squires and knights. He also earned the recognition and praise of King Tharion himself, who noticed Radon’s potential and rewarded him with honors.
After four years of service, Radon was knighted by the king in a grand ceremony. He received a suit of armor, a sword, a shield, and a horse. He also received a coat of arms that will later bore a wolf symbol.
Radon was overjoyed by his achievement. He felt that he had reached the peak of his life. He vowed to be a loyal knight of the king, and to uphold the ideals of knighthood.
He soon got the opportunity to test his skills and loyalty in battle. The King declared war on the neighboring kingdom, which had invaded Vergeniac’s borderlands. Radon joined the king’s army as it marched to confront the enemy. He fought bravely in many sieges, defeating dozens of enemies and earning a reputation as a fierce and fearless warrior.
Four more years have passed, but as the battles continued, Radon began to see another side of King Tharion. He saw that the king was not as wise and benevolent as he had thought. He saw that the king was cruel, selfish, greedy and ruthless, who cared only for his own power. He oppressed his own people with heavy taxes, harsh laws and brutal punishments. He also waged war against neighboring kingdoms for no reason other than to expand his power and wealth.
Radon was shocked and disgusted by the king’s actions, but he still hoped that he could change his ways or that he had a good reason for them. He tried to voice his concerns to the other knights, but he was met with silence or rebuke. Most of them were blindly loyal to the king and refused to question his orders or motives, the others were just scared by his influence.
Radon felt torn between his duty and his conscience, but he still obeyed the king out of respect for his friends. However, things changed when the king ordered him to lead a raid on a village that was suspected of harboring rebels. Radon found out that the villagers were innocent and that the rebels were actually former knights who had defected from the king's army.
Radon decided to spare the villagers and join the rebels instead. He convinced some of the other knights against the king’s actions to do the same. They left behind their crests and their oaths, and became outlaws and traitors in the eyes of the king.
They fought alongside the rebels for freedom and justice. They faced many dangers and hardships, but they also found new friends and allies among the people. They became a symbol of hope and resistance.
However, their rebellion was short-lived. The king sent his army to crush them once and for all. Radon and his companions faced their former brothers-in-arms on the battlefield. They fought bravely and honorably, but they were outnumbered and outmatched. The king’s army surrounded and slew the rebels and the resigned knight. Radon was among the last to fall. He died on the battleground, with his sword in his hand and his shield on his arm. He died with sorrow, knowing that evil and injustice won. but knowing that, at least, he had done all of this for a noble cause.
On the end of this summer day, as the sunlight was fading away, Radon gave his last breath and died at the age of 24.
He was left here to rot, along with his companions and the other rebels. His name was erased from history, along with his deeds.
He was forgotten by the world.
But, before he started to decay, he was taken by a group of mages with some other of the bodies, to conduct forbiden experiments on those gathered corpses. They wanted to find out if they could replicate or enhance some qualities of the bodies such as the muscles and natural immunities and turn them as weapons to the highest bidder.
They brought Radon's body to the laboratory room, where they performed various tests and procedures on him. They injected him with potions, various serums, exposed him to spells and others unknown experiments. They tried to revive him, to control him. They succeded, the process leaving a huge scar around his right eye and over his body.
Radon came back to life, but he was not the same. He had become a lycanthrope, a huge and fierce beast. He had gained immortality, but he had lost a huge part of his memory. He could not remember his name, his past, or his purpose. He only remembered a feeling of loss and mourning, and a craving for revenge against the king that he did not even remember.
He was kept in a cage, where he was tortured and experimented on by the mages. They tried to break his will and make him their slave but they failed.
Radon retained his spirit and his defiance for months. He resisted their commands and fought back whenever he could, waiting for a chance to escape.
He got it one night, during a storm water flooded the laboratory and lighted off the candles. He broke free from his cage and attacked in the dark. He killed most of them with his claws and teeth, few of them could escape. Then, he ran out of this place and into the woods.
He was free, but he was now alone.
Radon wandered the lands for decades, looking for clues to his past and his purpose. Even if he was hiding from civilization, he encountered many dangers and enemies along the way while hunting for food and never forgot his desire for revenge against the king. He did not know who the king was or where he was, but he felt a burning hatred for him in his heart. He hoped that one day, he would find him and kill him.
He lived for revenge and nothing else.
Radon became his own shadow, becoming fierce, craving for blood and revenge.
He hunted down anyone who had any connection to King Tharion, whether they were his soldiers, his advisers, his allies or his peoples. He killed them without mercy or remorse, leaving behind a trail of corpses and carnage. He did not care about the consequences of his actions, or the suffering he caused. He only cared about satisfying his thirst for vengeance.
He also sought out ways to end his immortality, which he saw as a curse and a burden. He tried to find weapons or spells that could harm him, or enemies that could match him. He threw himself into danger and death, hoping that something would finally kill him. He did not fear death, he welcomed it.
But it was in vain, nothing could kill him. He survived every wound and every challenge. He healed from every injury and every illness. He endured every pain and every torment. He was immortal and even if he could be harmed, he was invincible on long term.
He became bitter and angry, blaming the king and the mages for his fate. He also blamed himself for his choices and actions. He hated himself and everyone else, and he wanted to make them pay for his misery.
He became his own shadow, a dark and twisted version of himself. He became fierce, craving for blood and revenge. He became a menace and a terror, attacking anyone who crossed his path. He became an enemy of the world, and the world became his enemy.
He fight against the world and his own inner fire, he lost his name and his cause and became a legend dire.
The next time you travel through the woods, be carefull, he got many names over the ages, but if you cross his path, you can only pray for a quick and painless end.
