https://www.twitch.tv/gamecentertc
Approaching the holiday seasons and I wish to test out what may be a hot item for the retro gamer under your tree this year; the Atari Gamestation Pro! We'll primarily be looking not only at some of the installed 2600 games, but also ones sideloaded and which were also part of my formative years as a gamer!

I really enjoyed the stream. My first console was the NES and I didn't even play a 2600 until sometime in the 2000's, but since then I've found some gems on it and always love hearing people who have an obvious passion for it talk about the games. I really liked the technical explanation of how the machine handled certain things during the opening.
My significant other also came into the room as I was watching the stream and she was just really impressed to see somebody playing Pitfall II.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and that my opening lessons were appreciated! Granted my technical explanation was surface level at best and I may have gotten a few points wrong. I still find it fascinating to examine all of the technical hurdles that came with the beginnings of the hobby.
Pitfall II is probably still my favorite on the console, even if it got to the ceiling of what could be reasonably done through means of extra hardware. It made me feel a little less jealous of my NES owning friends back in the day (although it made playing Super Pitfall that much more wretched)

Super Pitfall was the first game in the series I played, so for years I assumed I wouldn't like its predecessors because it was so rough. Thankfully, that didn't turn out to be the case.
