I finished this work a long time ago, but I didn’t want to publish it in the summer. It took just an enormous amount of time to finalize, perhaps so far this is the most detailed and complex illustration I have ever done.
At some point I just gave up with the thought “No matter how much time it takes, I’ll do the best I can”, as a result, according to conservative estimates, more than 100 hours of messing around and freezes of the computer, which simply refused to export this huge file, - also the reason why the characters had to be carried out into a separate file, render there, and then merge everything into one file with tambourines, dancing and burning incense.
And despite all the troubles that happened in the process, this work is very dear to me and I am very grateful to
for the opportunity to paint an illustration based on the Dark souls. In the future I also plan to create some more illustrations based on souls-like games <3
