Eighteen Hypnovember commission.
The client was once again Ninetalesuk who wanted to continue this small saga with Sonic characters. This time he went with the Trigger Prompt and asked for Tails and Wave to be the ones affected by it. This was inspired by an old commission of his. A Powerful Trigger
Things were not looking good for the Freedom Fighters.
Weeks after the disappearance of a few of their members, the group started to become scarce. Not only the soldiers were captured, but also some of the important ones like Amy, Bunnie and Knuckles, all of which disappeared after investigating about the disappearances of the others. This also took a toll on Tails and Wave, two of the main ones that struggled to cope with the disappearance of their friends. For the smart fox, it was a week since he last saw Sonic and Sally and was concerned about them. For the bird gal, she lost contact with Jet and hoped her fears of seeing him robotized were nothing more than a bad idea.
Sadly, the two geniuses were captured during their scouting by none other than their friends. Wave was captured close to the lake, freezing in panic the moment she saw the robotic body of the green bird. Tails was captured close to the camp after Sally knocked him out and when he awakened, he found himself in a dark room with Wave. It wasn’t necessary to be smart to know what was happening, everything had sense. Eggman had something to do with Dulcy’s disappearance and the other Freedom Fighters were captured, robotized and brainwashed.
Both regretted being affected by fear, a thing that affected their minds. It was something as simple and obvious as that and yet, the fox and swallow were captured, powerless and with no way of getting out. They hoped for a miracle or one of the last members of their team to find them, but both accepted that wasn’t going to happen. Their time alone was interrupted by Maria and her daughter Lupe, two members of the Freedom Fighters that were turned into robots.
The robotic wolves looked at each and nodded before holding out their hands for their two victims to react. Tails and Wave expected some sort of attack and both were in position to counter it, but were surprised that it was a ray of light that blinded them for a moment. The fox and swallow took a moment to regain their senses before noticing that they were in the main lab of Eggman and being held by Sally and Jet respectively.
It was strange, one moment they were ready to fight back and now they were captured and in a different room. After Maria walked in front of them, she commanded the two other robots to let them go, an action that they obeyed on the spot. Things became stranger the moment Lupe made her entrance, taking one moment to eye at the two before going forward with her plan. “Could you two get up, please.”
SNAP!
The moment they heard the sound of her robotic hand, their eyes quickly changed into swirls of colors. For a quick second, Tails and Wave were mindless and couldn’t ignore that command as they followed it, quickly getting up from the floor and standing still, not thinking about what was happening anymore. While the robotization already used mind control, the robots also put the victims in a trance before starting with the main part. The ray of light implanted a few triggers and commands on their subconscious and Tails and Wave didn’t feel they were obligated to do the things they were doing. For them, it was a normal thing they wanted and they remained still and silent, waiting for the next order to follow.
Lupe just needed to snap her fingers and the fox and swallow would do whatever she commanded, including leaving their old life behind. This was a small victory as their master told them about some Freedom Fighters having more metal strength than others and deduced that the mind of the geniuses might be stronger than others. Of course, that was a thing of the past as the two were putty in their hands. Not wanting to wait anymore, the robotic wolf gal walked behind them before moving her hand closer to them. “You want to give us your mind and body. You want to be robotized and turned into loyal servants.”
SNAP!
The swirls in their eyes moved faster and Wave even smiled. They quickly accepted the idea, not caring about how things were going to be or the possibility of the Freedom Fighters being defeated. The two hypnotized Mobians nodded their heads in approval, agreeing with the idea and waiting for that to happen. Unbeknownst to them, Ducky was nearby, standing closer to the control of the main machine that had two pods that would turn the two into robots.
Checking the two victims one last time, and looking at the dragon gal and her daughter, Lupe moved in front of the two hypnotized heroes, wanting to look at their normal bodies one last time before giving them the last command. “Walk into the pods. Tails, to the right. Wave, you take the one on the left. Whatever you do, don’t look back or try to escape from it.”
SNAP!
Wave went first as her pod was the closest, but just before Tails could enter, Maria stopped him. This wasn’t her old self winning over her, that was far from the case. During their time on the Freedom Fighters, the wolf gal always saw Tails as someone nice and caring, but she also felt that he didn’t consider other things. He was a genius, but he was also a bit naive, so there had to be a bit of help. “Once you…save the day…you’ll consider looking for a girl, someone to be with. It could be Wave…or myself…or both or any girl, just remember, you need to find someone.”

Tails’ expression told her everything, he accepted the idea as the swirls in his eyes moved faster and he had a dopey smile in his face. Maria was surprised to see that the genius fox didn’t show any resistance and even wondered if that was a desire of his. She wanted to know more, but as they had to continue, Maria helped him walk to his pod so he could be roboticized. With the two heroes in their place, Dulcy looked at them one last time before pressing the button that would change their lives forever.
The robotization was far from painless, it was a quick thing, that or Lupe gave them a trigger to not notice it. Either way, the two hypnotized heroes embraced their new bodies. No longer the fox and swallow, the two robots came out from their pods and usurpingly, the first thing they did was mentioning how loyal they were to Eggman and how they were going to obey any command and help the doctor on his conquest.
Lupe, Maria, Jet and Sally moved closer to them and welcomed them into their group, congratulating them for coming to terms with what was the best for them. Dulcy algo congratulate her, but even though their bodies were already in the state they wanted, the robotic dragon gal still had one last thing to do. First, she asked them who their leader was and the two quickly mentioned it was Eggman. Then she asked them what was their main role in life and they said that it was helping their master in his plans of ruling the worlds.
Pleased with the answers, Dulcy stood in attention before her eyes started to flash. Unlike the ray of light of Lupe and Maria, the lights of Dulcy were different, a powerful tool that not only worked on Mobians, but also on robots. Not only she was hypnotizing the two new recruits, but she was also giving commands to the other robots. It was the same things as before, being loyal to their master, do whatever he told them and continue to capture the last Freedom Fighters. Once she was done, the robotic dragon gal left the room as she needed to talk with their master, who saw everything from the main room.
As things came to an end, Tails stood between Maria and Wave, following the last command he received before he was turned into a robot. Not only he was ready to embrace his new life, but he was also going to concentrate on finding someone and he hoped it was a girl that also had the same desires and ideas of being loyal to their master.
Tails and Wave were some of the last hopes to defeat Eggman and in the end, they became his underlings. They were hypnotized and turned into robots, the triggers in their minds could be activated with ease and they would follow it without a doubt. It was going to be a difficult thing for the last members of the Freedom Fighters as almost everyone that was linked to them became a robot, but for the ones that went to the other side, it was something good, something better.
They couldn’t wait to show them how good it was to be a robotic servant.
