I said that it wasn’t going to happen again… but I was wrong. I broke a rule. I was alone when I wasn’t supposed to be. I was taken. My eyes were closed and I can feel the cold floor on the side of my face as I laid down on it. Opening my eyes, the flood of color and bright light forced me to close them again. Slowly regaining my senses, but I couldn’t move. Not even an inch. I can still feel the stinging pain on the side of my neck. I tried to move my mouth but nothing… I couldn’t even talk or cry for help. I just lied there, hoping that the numbing sensation to go away. After a while I tried to make noise again but then…
“Shh! Quiet. Don’t let them hear you.” A young kids voice warns quietly behind him.
Hearing the warning, Peanut remained silent. While remaining still, he felt the side of his mouth soaked and wet. Opening his eyes to take a look, he realizes that it was from him. Not being able to close his mouth caused him to drool. Closing his eyes in disgust he tries to move away from-
A couple of footsteps echo getting closer causes him to stop. One set of footsteps were from heavy boots while the other was light weight barely being heard. Keeping his eyes closed, Peanut was able to hear them talk to each other.
The heavy footsteps stop as his deep voice soon follows asking, “Are these all of them?”
The other clears his throat high pitch scratchy voice answers, “Yup. All of them, even the one that the boss even wanted.”
“Which is that?”
A lighter can be heard being used lighting a cigarette, as he takes a puff from it. He coughs answering, “That one.” Clearing his throat, he then gloats, “Can’t believe we did it in ten minutes flat.”
“No shit. This is going to be the biggest pay off.”
“Once I get payed, I’m going to buy so many packs of cigarettes that I’ll never run out.”
With a deep groan, he mocks and also warns, “You are the worst chain smoker I’ve met. It’ll be the death of you.”
“Whatever but I know the first thing you’re going to buy, new pair of boots.”
“These are just fine.”
“Sure… if you consider the tip of steel toe exposed being ‘fine’. I bet if you kick someone on the side of the head, you’ll slice his head wide open.”
“That’s why I have… it…, Trey heading over here and he looks pissed.”
Another quickly approaches angrily demanding, “What the FUCK!? Who’s the fucking dumbass that got these three?”
Peanut slightly opening his eyes, he sees someone approach as he points downward. Getting closer he can make out someone being a weasel that seems to be in charge. He’s pointing down? Why? What is he… With realization hitting him hard, I’m not the only one.
The high pitch smoker answers, looking at who he’s pointing at as he explains, “Some of the guys thought it’ll be a good idea. Said it was to add a little bit of variety.”
Trey slowly turns to him. “Are you fucking kidding me?” He asks back infuriated as he grabs him and slams him to the wall. He then points at them again, “THAT VARIETY IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED ONCE HE GETS HERE!”
“What’s the big deal? It can’t-“ He gets grabbed by the throat and slammed to the wall again even harder losing his cigarette.
Trey begins to squeeze. “WHEN THE BOSS SAYS POMERANIAN ONLY, THEN IT’S POMERANIAN ONLY!”
Tapping on his shoulder trying to say sorry, he gets released letting him gasp for air. He asks worried, “So what do we do with them?”
“I’ll umm… no. You go get Rodney and his group and take them to the warehouse district.”
“And?... How long are we going to wait there for?”
“No idea. Once the boss gets here and does his thing, I’ll then call you to come back.”
“Got it.”
As Trey steps over the other kids to get to the wrong ones, he grabs ahold of one them and tosses the kid over his shoulder. About to get up, he looks over to Peanut noticing his little puddle of drool. “Hold up… shit. This one moved.” He goes over to Peanut and grabs his arm. Raising it up and then releasing, he notices resistance as it lands. “This ones faking.”
“Another one?” the kidnapper answers hoisting one kid on each shoulder. “Damn… thought the shot was supposed to last way longer than a couple of hours.”
“Looks like it. Depends on the person I guess.” He grabs Peanut chest by his shirt, making his eyes open up. He smiles confirming, “Yup, you’re awake.” He drags him to the closest wall where the other kid that was talking to him. “Stay right here and don’t fucking say anything.” He places Peanut against the wall sitting him upright.
Peanut doesn’t answer back. He just sat there and watched them quickly leave with the three kids. With very little movement from his neck, he moves it as much as he can to see the other kid that talked to him. What the…? Trying not to get confused, but it felt like he was looking at a mirror. A reflection of himself… but he was wearing different clothes. A yellow jacket, along with blue shorts. The other main difference was his right eye was slightly closed and bruised. Someone punched him.
Being at the side wall, Peanut had a clear view of the area. There were four unconscious kids on the floor and the kidnappers just took three away because they weren’t the right ones. Including myself and this other kid, which means they kidnapped nine kids.
The Kid looks over to Peanut and asks whispering, “Are you ok?”
Peanut was barely able to nod but was still confused that he was looking at himself.
Noticing Peanut having a hard time to move and a little dazed, he asks, “Can’t move yet and your neck still hurts?”
Peanut nods again, slowly coming to terms that it wasn’t his reflection.
“It’ll go away. Took me awhile, but I still can’t feel my legs.”
Trying to fight through the numbness, he asks, “How…how long… how… has it… been?”
“I don’t know. The sun is still out so… I guess a couple of hours.”
Still staring at his bruised eye, Peanut tries to ask, “Yo… Your eye, wha…t… happ…en?”
“They punched me for asking questions. It’s why I warned you to stay quiet.”
Peanut still had to make sure that he wasn’t hallucinating from the injection, he asks, “What’s your… name?”
“It’s… umm…” The Kid looks in all different directions, then stops. He answers, “It’s Junior.”
Peanut looks at the direction that he was staring at, seeing a crate stacked on each other with a name Junior’s Decorations and Accessories.
“That’s what I want to be called. Don’t give me your real name. Do you have a nickname?” Junior asks.
“Mine’s… Peanut.”
They stayed sitting in silence for what felt like an eternity. Being quiet, another kid begins to squirm, making them look. Soon after, he starts making muffled cries for help, unable to form any words.
Peanut sees Junior drags himself to the kid to calm him down. “Shh… Stay calm.” But the kid just kept trying to cry out. Trying to comfort him while saying, “It’s okay. It’s okay.” The kid calms down, unable to speak. “What’s your name? Can you tell me?”
“Puh… puh… tri… Puh…trick.” He tries to answer while drooling.
Junior answers back, “Patrick. Got it. It’s alright Patrick. It’s going to be…” His ears perk up, hearing movement in the building. He carefully drags him back to the wall.
A group of kidnappers approach them as four them where wearing police uniforms.
Peanut smiles seeing them get closer, but looking over to Junior noticing that he wasn’t happy or glad. Junior knew something that he didn’t. Junior just stares at the Officers with a look of concern on his face, holding onto Patrick tight to comfort him not to make any sound.
Peanut then looks back at the Officers realizing now that they’re not here to help.
One of them approaches the other sleeping kids as his uniform says Sergeant on it. Getting a good look at him, it was the same Hyena Sergeant from the fair.
The Sergeant turns to the Weasel that’s in charge and asks with a deep growl, “Trey?”
“What is it?” He answers back.
The Sergeant asks with restraint, “You said nine. Where are the other three?”
He quickly answers, “Did I say nine? Nah, it’s six. These were the only Pomeranian boys around wearing something yellow.”
The Sergeant goes back checking on them as the rest of the other officers and kidnappers remained quiet. He checks them one by one, grabbing their faces and looks them over. Each time he shakes his head. He looks over to where Peanut and Junior sitting at the wall awake, staring right back. Walking over to them, he crosses his arms and looks at Junior for a while then back to Peanut. After looking at Peanut, he goes back to Junior and asks as calmly with restraint, “Who… punched you?”
Surprised by the question, Junior looks at one of the kidnappers, then back at the Sergeant. Raising up his arm, he then points answering, “It was him.”
The Sergeant slowly looks at the one he pointed at and snarls as the back of his neck hair flares up.
The kidnapper gets defensive about it giving his excuse, “He was asking questions. I had to shut-“
The Sergeant unholsters his gun and begins to fire every bullet into him.
Junior, startled by it, he closes his eyes and turns away while covering his ears. But unfortunately for Peanut, he couldn’t do the same. Unable to turn his head away not to see it, he was forced to watch and hear it happen.
Everyone that was around the thug avoided being shot and also the blood splatter as his body hits the ground.
With every pull of the trigger he gets closer and closer till he fired the last bullet into his head. He then removes the clip and throws it to the floor frustrated. Grabbing another clip and puts it into the gun then holsters it back. He turns back to everyone in the room and demands as his thunderous voice echoes in the building, “No one and I MEAN NO ONE, LAYS A HAND ON ANY OF THEM TILL I’M DONE! GOT IT!?”
“Yes sir,” everyone answers back.
The Sergeant turns back to Junior. “But that doesn’t mean that I won’t.” He walks towards him getting close. “You will get no compassion… no sympathy… nothing from me. Get out of line and I’ll give you more than just a black eye. You will learn to fear me and understand why they call me Brutal.” He turns to Peanut and points at him. “You…” He points to the kid that Junior is holding onto. “Not you…” He grabs Patrick from Junior, pulling him away by force. He points to Junior while tossing Patrick back to the rest. “And you.”
The other three cops step forward to them.
Peanut, unable to struggle or resist as he gets grabbed, but as soon as Junior gets grabbed, he shouts out, “Leave me ALONE… DON’T-“ He bites down on the cops wrist not letting go.
The cop shouts in pain as he tries to pull his wrist away. One of the other cop goes through his pocket pulling out a needle he jabs it into Junior’s neck knocking him out. “Shit that hurt.” “Do it to him also?” “No, just leave him the way he is.”
Being taken away, Peanut can still hear Patrick letting out muffled pleas for help. His voice goes silent as the rest of the kidnappers approach to take them somewhere else.

Exiting out of the building, they get put into the back seat of one of the nearest squad cars. Wondering where he’s being taken to, he looks over to Junior asleep. He looks back out of the car window, seeing Brutal standing there, talking to one of the cops. Once done, he walks away, heading back to where Trey was.
Two of the cops sit in the front as the third sits in the back with them. He angrily shoves Junior to the middle of the back seat. Sitting there holding onto his wrist, he looks at Junior. “Should’ve fucking knocked him out,” he said.
The driver argues back angry, “Are you fucking stupid?” He starts driving. “Did you forget what he just did in there? Gawd damn… a whole clip into him. You want that?”
He rubs the back of his head. “No… shit was nuts.”
Peanut not sure if he wanted to say anything, he hesitates and slowly opens his mouth, asking sincerely, “Where are we going?”
But none of them answer.
They pull into a driveway, Peanut looks out of the window at the building they were at, able to tell that it’s the Police Department. Coming to a stop, the driver exits out first to let the other cop out that’s sitting next to Junior. He then grabs Junior’s unconscious body and pulls him out.
Peanuts door then gets open, and also gets grabbed to be taken out and taken into the PD.

Inside, they walk down a hallway and then into the large office area of the PD where everyone stands around, being curious about them. They both get placed on chairs as everyone just stares at them till someone asks, “Which one is it?”
The driver cop answers, “I don’t know. It’s got to be one of these two.”
“One of these two?” another one asks.
He answers again, “Yeah, I think. Brutal checked. It came down to these two, so… uhh I don’t even think he even knows.”
A Dispatcher stands up looking at Peanut as he warns, “We better get things going before it’s too late.”
The driver looks over to the Dispatcher. “What do you mean too late? No one knows yet… right?”
“I don’t think so, but something bad happened at the West Side Warehouse District.”
“Like what?”
“Rodney and some of the guys were over there hiding some of the kids and someone… snuck in and killed them all.”
“Are you fucking kidding me?”
“Here’s the crazy thing… whoever did it, is some Ex-BOA nut job.”
Peanut over hearing them, he hears the word BOA causing him to smile. Thinking to himself, He’s here… Craig’s looking for me.
“And the kids, what happen to them?”
“They were found at Douglas’s Pizza Parlor. And worst of all… A Maple PD’s Captain is here asking questions. I sent Marcus and a couple of other guys over there quick.”
“Dammit… Does Brutal know yet?”
“No, and let’s keep it that way. Marcus should be able to stall The Captain at the Pizza Parlor or at the Warehouse for a good while.” He looks over at the main entrance. “Most of them should be back by now.”
Just as he said that, the front door opens as a couple of officers enter the building. Peanut looks over to them. Staring at them as one of them forces his way through the crowd, Peanut’s eyes widen being surprised. Not saying anything as he looks directly at Bobby. Why is he here?
<<Rewind back a few hours Bobby awakens in one of the cells at the PD.

Chapter 4 The Wrong Side of the Law
Being a chauffeur was supposed to be a relaxing, calm and respectful profession for me to get myself involved in. Be responsible, escorting the son of a wealthy inventor. What could possibly go wrong? Drive him to and from school and wherever he wanted to go if it sounded reasonable to my judgment, but most importantly… Keep him safe.
…I’ve failed.
Unconscious still, he slowly regains his senses, opening his eyes. Head throbbing in pain, he raises his right hand to rub his head, only to have it restrained hearing the metal sound of handcuffs against his bench. Using his left instead, he feels a large bump along the side of his head where it hurts.
“About time you’re up. I didn’t think I kicked you that fucking hard.” Hearing a voice, he looks up seeing a blurred figure, at what seems to be on the other side of bars. Looking around he notices that he’s in a cell. The figure speaks again. “But then again… your head did bounce off the side of the car door. I even dropped my fucking pizza.”
Rubbing his eyes, he takes a better look seeing a short, scrawny, young, Bengal Cat wearing an officers uniform that barely fits on him staring right back at him as he holds onto the bars. Remaining calm Bobby ask, “Where am I?”
He gives back a cold stare and takes out his handgun and aims it at him. “Keep your mouth shut and just answer my questions. If you can pull that off, then I won’t have to use this on you.”
While Bobby stares at the barrel of the gun noticing that it has a silencer on it. Now realizing that he really means business, he had no choice. He looks back to him and just nods.
“There ya go.” He rests the gun on the bars and asks, “The Lambo, who does it belong to?”
“It belongs to my employer. As I said… I’m allowed to drive it.”
He sighs at the answer. “That’s exactly what you said but you didn’t answer my question.” He goes back to aiming the gun at him re-asking the question slowly, “Who… does it… belong to?”
“A very wealthy individual that am not allowed to say who-” Bobby begins to see the officer aim right at him pulling the trigger. Bobby ducks to the side avoiding it as it hits the wall. Shocked by it, he slowly raises back up seeing the bullet hole where he used to be. He looks back at the officer going through his pocket taking out a folded piece of paper.
Unfolding the papers while looking at them, he asks, “You rather save the identity of your boss then save your own ass?” He puts his arm pass the bars with his registration papers of the car stating out loud, “Fredrick Plummer.” The officer’s eyes widen, worried about saying the name too loud. He looks back at the door hoping he didn’t. Relieved, he turns back and whispers, “You were driving him, but the thing is… you weren’t. You were at the Country Fair because the person you ‘were’ driving was his son… Wasn’t it? And don’t even try to lie because you were filling up the gas tank proving that you had to drive so damn far from Nue Haven to get to here.” He then goes back to aiming the gun at him. “Say that I’m right?”
“And what if I was? What are you going to do to him if I was?”
He lowers the gun again and smiles. “You probly don’t know, but a bunch of kids got kidnapped at the Country Fair. One of them just might be him, and I know for damn sure they got ‘em.”
In disbelief from what he just heard, Bobby was concerned about Mr. Plummer. He knew that he can’t lie, and if he did, he was just going to get shot. He needed to use the right words… the kind of words that he wants to hear. Bobby despises lying, but at this moment… This exact moment he had no choice. Lying is what’s going to keep him alive. He needed to play along. “Then what do you need me for? If you already have him then why are you telling me all of this for?”
He aims the gun at him just to point. “Because I have a proposition that I’d like to make with you. You either join alongside with me or…” He turns to the exit door and points at it. “I can just let them deal with you. Cuz here’s the kicker… The whole PD is in on it. Don’t even think that they’ll let you leave out of here alive. So you either join me, let ‘me’ keep ‘you’ alive, and whatever cut of the money you get… I get half of it.” He pulls out a key for his handcuffs. “Deal?”
Bobby Nods while saying, “Deal.” The key gets thrown to him as he catches it. Unlocking his handcuffs and while getting up, he sees the officer with his arm through the bars for a handshake to the deal.
Shaking his hand, The Officer tightens his grip pulling him to the bars, slamming into it face first against the bars. Pointing the gun to his face once again he demands, “Don’t even think about screwing me over cuz I will gun you down if you do.”
Wincing from the pain, he nods responding, “Understood.”
He releases Bobby’s hand and then opens his cell. As Bobby exits out holding his head, the Officer checks him out. “We’re going to have to do something about that suit of yours.” He looks back to the door. “Don’t worry about them. They have no idea that you know who the kid is.” He looks back at him. “It’s between us.”
Concerned about the car he asks, “What about the vehicle? Where is it?”
“Don’t worry about it. It’s safely hidden here so no one going to fuck with it.”
Getting a better look at his large uniform on his short stature, he notices his name isn’t even on it. “If I am going to be dealing with you… can I at least know you’re name?”
“The name’s Talbot.” He answers back.
Upon answering, the door opens as another officer walks into the room. Seeing Bobby out of his cell, he asks, “So I’m guessing the initiation was a success?”
Talbot rolls his eyes as he looks at Bobby while pointing at the officer, “Never mind… It’s between you, me and that turkey that knows. He goes by Regal. He’s also an asshole,” he says ridiculing.
“That’s Rooster, know the difference dumbass.” Regal snaps back. “And don’t get mad cuz I figured out what you’re trying to do. Either way… I’m just an observer hoping to see a good show.”
“Sure, whatever, so why are you here?” Talbot says back rude.
Regal looks at his watch with his hand over it, he then gives a slight nod. He walks towards them as he explains going through his pocket, “Marcus is here looking for a recruit to go check something out quick.” He pulls out a pack of gum and offers Bobby a stick. “Something bad happened.”
Talbot shoves Bobby to get moving, not letting him grab it. “Like what?”
________________________________________
Bobby exits out first and walks down the hallway to the main office room while overhearing them talk.
He hears Regal explain, “A bunch of idiots hid a couple of kids at a warehouse. Someone got to them and killed them all. Whoever it was then took the kids to Douglas’s Pizza Parlor. Marcus sent a couple of guys to the warehouse to check it out, …but… now he’s here… looking for anyone to go get the kids and… well…”
Talbot, unsure why Regal was hesitating to finish, he figures it out, refusing the idea, “Are you… OH shit. No. Fuck that.”
Bobby was confused as to exactly what Talbot meant. Three kids that were taken to the Pizza Parlor? One of them might be Mr. Plummer. I need to figure out a way to go over there and check but… who could have done it? Who saved them? Craig?... Was it Craig? It must’ve been him. He has to be here in town also.
Entering the main office room, Bobby sees someone who might be Marcus. A slightly over-weight, average height Gecko in a lieutenant’s uniform stands there asking, “So who wants to do it? I have to keep the Captain busy for a good while. So who wants to do it?”
An officer raises his hand accepting, “I’ll do it.”
Marcus looks and denies. “Not you.” Another officer accepts, but Marcus denies again… and again… and…
Talbot grabs Bobby, pulling him back making sure to stay around him. “Don’t get too far. I’m not taking my eyes off of you.”
Bobby looks over to Talbot after hearing what he said and then quickly raises his hand. “I’LL DO IT!” he shouts, turning back to Marcus.
Talbot was shocked from what Bobby just said. He looks over to Marcus, seeing his head turn to Bobby. He gives Bobby a quick inspection and with no hesitation, he orders, “Let’s go… Now!”
Bobby takes a step forward, giving Talbot a slight glance from the corner of his eye and heads to Marcus.
Talbot mutters desperately, “You fucking…” he raises his hand also saying, “I’ll go too. I’LL DO IT!”
“Too late Talbot, he beat you too it.” Marcus responds back as he leads Bobby to the exit.
Regal crosses his arms, watching Bobby exit out of the building. He snickers, “Damn, was that off the script? I didn’t see that coming.” He begins to tease, “Going… going… and… gone. You can’t see him anymore. Heh! He pulled a fast one on you.” He looks at Talbot seeing how angry he was. “Damn, you’re pissed. Is the poor little kitty angry? I can hear your inner voice swearing up a storm.” He laughs, mocking him as he walks away.
________________________________________
Outside, Marcus leads Bobby to his Police Jeep. In his rush to leave the building, he gives Bobby a look realizing something that made him stop. “Where’s your uniform?” he asks.
Looking over himself, he gives his somewhat honest excuse, “I’ve… uhh… never been given one. I am fairly new to the establishment.”
Marcus had no choice but to look at him concerned as he asks, “Establish…ment? You got to be kidding me.” He gestures him to keep walking to the Jeep. “Just… just go.” Keeping an eye on Bobby, he walks directly to the driver’s door. He quickly orders, “Nope, other side. Just because you’re dress like a chauffeur, doesn’t mean you can drive my jeep.”
Marcus gives him yet another concerned look, seeing him open the passenger door. Entering, he asks again, “Establishment? Do you even know why I picked you?”
Bobby looks back oblivious and answers with a smile, “Indeed. So that I can do it.
Marcus slowly looks away in disbelief. He doesn’t know. He puts the jeep into drive as he asks, "Just… just… just be quiet. I need time to think.”
________________________________________
Arriving at the pizza parlor, Marcus noticed how anxious he wanted to get out. He sees him quickly unbuckles his seat belt and reaches for the door handle- “Hold up Mr. Do-It,” he quickly orders.
Bobby pulls away and just looks back.
He can’t be this oblivious. Marcus asks again, “What exactly are you going to do to them?”
“To get them home… safe,” Bobby answers back as he opens the door to exit out.
“Are… you… kidding me? Is he trying to kill me with guilt?” he mutters in the jeep. He looks out of the window, seeing him searching for the kids. He nods as a smile spreads across his face. “I made the right choice… I just have to make it obvious on what he has to do.” Marcus grabs the door handle and heads out.
________________________________________
Outside, Bobby was searching everywhere for the kids but they were nowhere to be seen. They might be in the parlor? He turns to the parlor as Marcus exits out of the jeep. “Where are they?” he asks eagerly.
Marcus answers, not making eye contact with it, “In the squad car over there.” He sees Bobby take a step forward with no hesitation. He quickly orders, “Stop.” Bobby stops as he walks up to him inspecting him again. “Do you have anything on you?”
Bobby shakes his head. “No I don’t.”
Marcus smiles and reaches for his side arm. Unholstering it, he then hands it out. “Take it.”
Bobby grabs it and just looks at it, then back to Marcus still not understanding why.
Marcus looks over to the squad car and instructs, “Like a Band-Aid. Just do it quick… and get it over with… and hope you can sleep well tonight.” He then turns around and walks away.
Confused, Bobby heads to the car, trying to figure out what he meant while looking at the gun in his hand. “Do it…? Do what?” he mutters, getting closer to the car door. Once at the door he remembers how Talbot was reacting and what he said. The way he was refusing to be the one to… Do… It.
“No!” Realizing what it all means, he looks at the gun again. No… they… they want me to… kill… He shakes his head refusing, “I can’t. I won’t.” Quickly turning back to Marcus, he sees him talking into his radio as he looks back to Bobby.
Another squad car arrives at the Pizza Parlor making Marcus put his radio away. The two officer’s exit out to talk to him, one being a Female Cheetah and the other a Male Raccoon.
Bobby quickly opens the car door and enters.
________________________________________
Inside, Bobby grabs the rearview mirror and adjusts it to see the kids sitting in the back. Examining them, he saw none of them were Mr. Plummer. None of them were Pomeranian.
One of the kids looks directly back and asks, “Are we going home?”
He looks away and down at the gun in his hand. He then tosses it to the passenger seat and starts the car. “Yes. I’m taking you back. That’s what I’m going to do. So sit and relax… and don’t worry about anything,” he answers while driving back to the Country Fair.
But stopping at the first red light, a loud motorcycle stops right next to him. Bobby hears his window get tapped on causing him to lower it down. Who he sees is an officer wearing an intimidating dark purple robotic helmet staring right back. Unsure what to say or how to react… but instinctively, he knew how to do one thing and that’s politely say as always, “Good afternoon.”
“Good afternoon,” The Officer says right back as his voice echoes within his helmet. “The name’s Bert. I’m from Maple PD. Do you… by any chance know where my Captain is? She came into town.”
“I’m sorry but… I do not.”
“Damn. Well… thanks anyways.” The light turn’s green causing him to drive away.
Bobby does the same continuing back to the fair.
________________________________________
Arriving back at the Fair, he parks the car close to the main entrance. Inside of the car, he turns to face the kids. “Here is the plan. Uhh… do not exit out until I come back… understood?”
“Why can’t we come?” one of them asks.
Bobby opens the car as he answers back, “It’s for your own safety. Do not worry. I will come back. Agreed?”
The kids nod back.
________________________________________
He exits out and then closes the door. Standing there, he looks around for anyone to help but… seeing cops standing around, he shakes his head to them concerned. After what happen to me in town… I can’t trust them. I don’t know if they’re with them or not. He heads to the main entrance.
Standing in line waiting for his turn to pay to enter, a fair attendant approaches him. “Hi, are you a chauffeur? Are you here to pick anyone up?”
“I am no…t…” He stops midsentence, remembering what he needed to do. I have to lie… I can’t waste time like this. “Umm, I mean yes. Yes I am.”
The attendant escorts him to the entrance as she informs, “You don’t have to wait in line.”
“Thank you. I very much appreciate this.” Passing through the entrance, he looks around for anyone to trust, but all he sees is more officers. His eyes stop at one of the main building for the fair. With a nod to it, he walks to it staying away from any officers.
When he gets close enough, he sees a large lion officer sitting on a bench with his hand to his nose. Next to him on the floor are a couple of rags with red stains on them. Becoming curious, he notices that the officer is dressed differently then all of the other officers. Approaching the Officer, he sees his name tag with the name Vince. M on it. Bobby calmly asks, “Umm Hi. Can I ask you-“
Vince raises his hand and shakes it. “Go away. I’m not answering anymore questions,” he says annoyed.
“I-I promise you that it won’t take long or get you upset. Please… this is really important.”
Vince removes the rag from his nose and stares at him letting out a sniff. “What is it?”
“Are you an Officer? I see that you’re uniform is different than everyone else’s… so are you?”
The officer answers in shame, “No… I’m a… Security Guard for this event… or… you might as well call it… a Rent-A-Cop like he said.”
Unsure by his response, he asks, “Who told you that?”
Taking a moment to look around making sure no one was close. He then points at his nose quietly answering, “The one that did this to me trying to get into the security room… but he uhh… got the best of me. Probly wouldn’t of if he wasn’t part of the BOA group.”
Shocked with what he said, he quickly raises his hand describing him, “He’s a fox about this tall?”
Looking at Bobby’s hand, he answers, “Yeah… he was.”
Trying not to get overly anxious, he asks, “What else did he do?”
“I was… forced into the Security Room by him and I wound up helping him figuring out who one of the kidnappers was. I also pointed him in the right direction where to go to find him. That was it.”
And with that, Bobby figured out who he can trust to hand over the kids to. Craig is in town and he was the one that saved them. He’s looking for Mr. Plummer. If Craig trusted this guard, then that mean I can trust him too. He requests, “Can you get up and come with me? If he trusted you, then that means I can trust you too. Please?”
Vince nods and gets ready to stand up.
At first, Bobby didn’t realize that he was looking at the Lion Guard eye to eye when he was just sitting down. As the Guard stood up, he just stared upward in amazement on how tall and massive he is.
Vince was wondering why he was just being looked at. “What?”
Without even thinking, Bobby blurts out, “He kicked your ass?”
He growls back, being reminded of it. “Yes, I need to learn how to fight.” He then points in frustration. “Get moving.”
Reaching the Squad Car and just as he grabs onto the back door handle, he says, “I trust these over to you.” Opening the door, Vince sees the kids not saying anything. Bobby then informs, “Think of it as a gift… from him.”
Vince just stood there speechless, thinking about the last words Craig said to him. What he was going to do after leaving the Security Room. Curious, he asks, “How many has he killed so far?”
“I don’t know. So far it’s a lot.”
Vince nods in approval seeing the three kids safe. “Good.” The kids get out and get close to him. He sees Bobby get back into the car starting the engine. “You’re going back?”
With guilt, Bobby answers, “Yes. I’m also looking for the same kid as much as he is. I’m the one who drove them here. It’s partially my fault, why all of this happened.” Once answering he drives off back to Mercury Town.

Arriving back to town, Bobby had one problem… “I don’t know what to do,” he says out loud in the car as he puts it into parking. I could go to where Marcus is, but I don’t even know where he is. I did overhear something about a warehouse, but I don’t know where that is.
He looks over to where the Police Department is. He sighs. “I could go back to… but… Talbot going to be there angry when he sees me. There’s no avoiding him.” He nods, making a decision. “I have to go back. Going back will give me another clue to where Mr. Plummer is.”
About to put it into drive, the squad car begins to vibrate. He looks to the right as a large truck comes into view stopping at a STOP sign. Once stopping, the trucks loud motor lets out a monstrous growl, causing the squad car to shake as it then drives right past the intersection. Bobby stares at the logo plastered across the side stating: Chaotix Detective Agency. “What an intimidating vehicle,” he mutters. Not to get distracted, he heads to the PD as planned.
________________________________________
Reaching the PD, he exits out as every officer look at him, wondering if he really did ‘Do It’. He looks back at them being cautious and then reaches back into the car, grabbing the gun that Marcus gave to him. He shoves it into his pants and then makes his way to the front steps of the PD entrance. He tilts his head up as he climbs them, seeing Talbot waiting for him at the very top. Not taking his eyes off of him, he keeps his nerves and asks, “You didn’t think I was coming back, right?”
Talbot clenches his fist, trying not to punch him and points instead. “What happen?”
Bobby answers back trying to remain calm, keeping his temper in check, “None of the kids were him.”
Talbot glares at him, “I don’t believe you.”
After what he almost had to do to the kids, Bobby fur flares as he snaps back, “Believe what you want.” He grits his teeth. “If it was him then I wouldn’t have come back.”
Talbot backs off, startled by Bobby’s reaction and with his fur flared. After his response, he then asks wondering, “Did you really do it?”
Bobby doesn’t answer and walks to the entrance as his fur smooths back into place.
Talbot then mentions, “Just to make you feel better, they brought two kids here thinking that he’s one of them.”
Bobby, becoming anxious, he opens the door and rushes inside.
Surprised seeing Bobby rush into the building, he runs after him to keep up.
Bobby forces people out of the way and manages to get in front of the crowd to check. With a sense of relief, he sees Mr. Plummer staring right back, worried to see him. He’s here… but… He looks around in the main room. He’s surrounded by the wrong side of the law.

________________________________________
