"Years ago... I was Chinese."
"I thought you were Filipino."
"I'm quoting the game, Darcy!"
My earliest memories of the Sega Dreamcast was a computer trade show my dad used to take me as a kid, back when those were still a thing. Some vendors liked using it as a demo platform to show off the TV screens and PC monitors they were selling. Also the first time I saw Sonic Adventure and Soul Caliber.
I've also never actually played Shenmue. Hopefully one day tho, if only to learn some gaming history.
Plenty of memories playing video games at friends' place, usually in their basement, with the consoles and games that their parents would buy them that my parents never would. Always a fun time.
And yes, the irony of the Sega kid being Rowena and not Darcy is not lost on me.

I was born too late to properly experience the Dreamcast, but my brother got one secondhand when we were in high school. I don’t think he has many games for it, though.
