With the ships' initial assault harmlessly countered, the otter makes his move against the carrier group from below...
There will be a part three, but it might have to wait until next weekend ^_^

This is extremely well-done, the sense of scale and insane foreshortening is super impressive! I've seen this sort of effect be attempted but this honestly might be one of the best renditions of it I've seen, bravo!
Thank you! I'm glad you like it ^_^
Funny enough, the inspiration for this was the art on an old MTG card called "Dandan" that I saw a video about. It has an unnaturally-large fish barely visible under the water beneath some fishing boats. Very cool, ominous art.
But then I threw subtlety out the window, like OTTER!! and BIGGER!!, lol

MTG art can be very influential!
Try looking up Might of Oaks and see if the art from that card tickles your creative nerves!
Preferably the Urza’s Legacy version, for the giant squirrel!

Worry that comments like these make me look weird but whatever.
- As usual great otters
- Water is pretty
- Don't think I've seen this angle/scene before in macro art! Though maybe per the first comment I've forgot the other attempts
- Love the little people as size references
- The.... macro-ness also reminds me of this, another good pic, which combines with some of the other bullet points in a way I am not awake enough now to articulate

I appreciate detailed comments like yours! They really help me learn which techniques to stick with (like the water) and what sort of scenarios resonate with people.
