Craddock is a physical powerhouse! Not only can he withstand a lot of punishment, but goodness can he deal it out as well!
That tail is harder than you think! The core is made of a supernatural ice-like material that is dense and durable. But unlike ice it can heal! When it inevitably gets scratched in use, it will heal like any of his scales back into a perfectly smooth texture!
As for the spikes, those are actually just ice, formed at will upon Craddock's back and all around his tail! They often break off when swinging it around like this, but they can be easily reformed for the next strike!
And when all of this is swung at the end of Craddock's impressively strong, long tail, it can gather immense force behind it! Enough damage to crack the very earth itself!
Craddock rarely uses his tail in actual combat, since it can be quite lethal even without the spikes, and Craddock prefers to avoid killing when he can. However he practices his tail strikes frequently against rocks, trees, or other objects to keep his battle capabilities in top shape! When he needs to call upon his strength, he will be ready!
This super cool commission was done by Anvo as one of their first dragon pieces! A very different style from their cetaceans but I am a big fan! They are looking to draw more dragons so definitely check them out if you are looking to get art of one!
