March Grandioso (Percussion Arrangement)
This is another song in the public domain I've experimented with by doing an all-percussion arrangement, but unlike some of the other military marches I have done, this is not a Sousa march. This is "March Grandioso" by Roland F. Seitz. While these arrangements don't always work out the way I want them to, it was still good to try. It also helped me cope with some of the writer's block I have had in recent days.
To play this my way, you need:
3 glockenspiels
3 sets of crotales
3 xylophones
Tubular bells
4 vibraphones
7 marimbas (two grand staff, two treble clef, two bass clef, and one is actually a bass marimba)
Timpani
Battery percussion
This arrangement © me and me alone
Credit goes to the arranger of a different score that helped me do this one, because the chord progression was stressing me out. Don't worry, folks; I'll be fine. I got this done; that's the most important thing.
