An archeologist has discovered an ancient city deep underground, and seems to have attracted the attention of the strange and deadly eldritch creature that calls the ruins home.

The archeologist is lucky, though. The Phantom of the Deep is not hostile unless given reason to be. She"s not going to attack unless you are doing actual harm to her home. If you are simply trying to gather information, learn, and preserve artifacts, she won"t have a problem with you.

The Phantom is an ancient warden, huge and powerful, but incredibly old and rather lazy. She"s a bit standoffish and isn"t fond of physical contact, like most wardens, but she"s decently safe to approach.

This was mostly to try to practice shading and lighting, with the archeologist"s headlamp being the main light source, which is why most of the man"s obscured in shadow. I tried a few new things, and am quite pleased with this piece!
