Alright, so this is basically me attempting at creating/introducing a species that can be best described as "vaguely Slavic-sounding anthro synapsids". I had originally decided to just do a .pdf and then post the doodle separately, but then I realized that that might just be counterintuitive. So I"ll just go ahead and post the "basic" information of what the Zverrho"Lyuud are. Technically speaking I really only made them for my worldbuilding project, however I honestly don"t really mind if you make your own (just remember to refer back to me if you do). Also, first actual drawing. Woo.

Name of Species: “Zverrho’Lyuud”
Species Classification: Xenosynapsid, Paramammalian.
Species Distribution: Limited; largest concentrations of species can be found on worlds with average climate between 216 to 277 Kelvin; can survive on semi-arid worlds, but most comfortable inhabiting lacustrine to semi-marine planets.
Species Parameters:
>Average Height: Approximately 2.4 meters tall.
>Average Weight: ~340 kg, 80% of body weight is muscle.
>Average Lifespan: 150 - 175 Years.
>Species Behavior: Typically semi-solitary, but can establish localized communes, given enough time.
>Species Diet: Mostly carnivorous, but are able to consume hard grains and fruit if no other food is available.
>Defining Features: Large, almost saber-like canines, short and thick fur, deep-chested with a burly to lean physique, very short tail. Markings and patterns vary, ranging from mottled to stripes. Extremely aggressive when provoked.
Species Background: The Zverrho’Lyuud (“Beastly People”) are a semi-space faring race of large bipedal paramammalian aliens, their history going as far back as half a million years on their homeworld of Rohdnii’Myyr. Somewhat resembling anthropomorphized Theriodonts, these brutish-looking creatures have managed to develop a relatively complex feudal society, and have even reached the early stages of stellar travel. However, while their technological advancements are no doubt impressive in some aspects, their understanding of morals and abstract ideas is rather limited. Throughout most of the more “modern” history of the Zverrho’Lyuud, serfdom and absolute authoritarianism have been the norm within their society; living conditions for the lower castes of this species has often been harsh and dangerous, with next to no upward mobility in the social ladder.
Consequently, this has also led to several bouts of internal strife, most of which are usually suppressed with extreme force and prejudice. In the past 30,000 years alone there have been more than 62 instances of lower-caste Zverrho’Lyuud revolting against the Impyyhrial houses, the most recent of which devolving into an interstellar civil war between the Impyyhr itself and a number of factions striving for their independence or “Ascension” (i.e. overthrowing tens of thousands of years of absolute rule). However, while these factions share a mutual hatred for the Impyyhr and its allies, they typically do not cooperate with one another except on very rare occasions. Much of this can be simply explained through a lack of access to interstellar vessels and in most circumstances a general disagreement on ideology.
As far as foreign relations goes, the Zverrho’Lyuud have largely been isolationist for most of their existence, only conducting limited trade with certain races (usually the ones in closest proximity to the Impyyhr’s borders). This is largely due to the numerous and unending revolts that have been mentioned previously; not only do these revolts make visiting Impyyhrial worlds risky to begin with, but they also put a lot of strain on the navy. It is not uncommon for labor vessels to come into contact with stellar patrols, and even less so for one to see armed convoy fleets passing by one another as they are transiting to different worlds. Unsurprisingly, the frequency of military movement has often led to numerous close calls with foreign powers, usually ones that border the Impyyhr proper.
Though rare to come across given the tight security of the Impyyhr, Zvehrro’Lyuud refugees are known to exist in other parts of the galaxy. Most of them usually come from the lower castes of the hierarchy, mostly employed in unskilled labor or tasks requiring more in the way of muscle instead of brains. Even so, there are a few outliers that exist, namely ones who specialize in heavy industry. While undoubtedly crude-natured and somewhat easy to irritate, refugees of this species have been described as hard-working and diligent, able to cooperate with others when treated fairly.
