On rainy days, Rowe likes to sit at the window and listen to her collection of anime music. We are Fighting Dreamers, The Real Folk Blues, Dango Daikazoku... While she does find it relaxing, she also thinks it makes her look really cool and broody.

A spontaneous drawing that turned into something more. This was drawn with Rowe"s initial characterization in mind, that being a standoffish tsundere. Rowe today would probably still do this, just probably not look so glum and sullen. Or at least, only look that way when someone was looking at her- she"s trying to look like a cool anime protag, y"know?

This was also drawn when I initially believed the setting of Summertown to be a bit more narrowly constricted, set specifically in an 80s/90s conceptualization of American suburbia (which would have made Rowe a bit of an anachronism, since she"s based on things that wouldn"t come by until the 2000s). Since then I"ve found out the setting is much more flexible than that- if I drew this now, she"d be listening on an iPod or iPod Nano instead.
