Arrangement: Chain Reaction (TV Game Show Theme) - 1980s
Requested by a fellow YouTube user, this is my take on the theme tune to the original theme used for the first and second incarnations of the television game show "Chain Reaction," the game where one word leads to another. A typical chain on the show might look like this:
SCOOBY
SNACK
MACHINE
GUN
SHOW
DOG
DOO
The song used here comes from the short-lived original 1980 version hosted by Bill Cullen, which was used again for the 1986-91 version made in Canada (but airing in both Canada and the US), hosted originally by Canadian country music superstar Blake Eammons, and later by Geoff Edwards. (The last three incarnations of Chain Reaction to date have all aired on GSN, or Game Show Network: 1) 2006-07, hosted by Dylan Lane; 2) 2015, hosted by Mike Catherwood, and 3) 2021-22, hosted by Dylan Lane again.)
My arrangement is for:
Sax section (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone)
Glockenspiel
Vibraphone
Piano
Acoustic bass

Original music composed by Bob Cobert
Chain Reaction (TV show) © the following companies:
Bob Stewart Productions (1980)
Bob/Sande Stewart Productions (1986–91)
Embassy Row Productions (2006–07)
Sony Pictures Television (2006–22)
Bob Stewart also created the show. He is best known as the original creator for the original versions of "To Tell The Truth" and "The Price is Right" while employed by Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Productions. When he left to form his own production company, his biggest success came with an idea that Mark Goodson had shot down: the original "The $10,000 Pyramid," and all Pyramid variations that came after it.
