After spending the past hour opening up to Wa’Nabi about everything, Unikitty could almost feel the heavy burden of negativity lift as she was snatched up by some bird, soaring away from her problems now. It helped when Wa’Nabi wrapped her long tail around her and bundled her up in a tower of coils, a tradition for princesses, allowing Unikitty to feel like she was melting away in a warm nest of positivity. At times, she could feel herself wanting nothing more than to drift off to sleep as each haunting memory ebbed further and further and further away from her mind and when Unikitty had finished her life story, she almost passed out from the long desire to sleep without anymore repressed memories poking at her dreams.
“How are you feeling now? Better?” Wa’Nabi asked softly, her tail repeating the same movement of caressing Unikitty’s head that she had been doing throughout Unikitty’s tale.
Unikitty simply nodded, her eyes now shut and with a small little smile on her face, snuggling deeper into the Wa’Nabi’s scaly embrace. Although she will still carry these memories for the rest of her life, it was plain to see that she was content and maybe even healed like a dark and stormy night subsiding and being overcome by the rising morning sun.
“Good, don’t ever feel like you need to suffer alone, talk to the people you really trust about these things. You deserve better, Unikitty.” Wa’Nabi leaned closer, her words were like a warm gentle tide washing over her. “In case nobody ever told you that.” Then she leaned forward and gently pressed her mouth against Unikitty’s soft little head and pulled away. For Unikitty, it was something she had not felt in years, it was something she had no idea that she had missed because it was one of the many things from her past that she cast aside to avoid the encroaching trauma that followed. She felt tears wanting to well up, her smile not fading however, as she remembered the comforting memory of her mother kissing her goodnight.
“Mother” a word that echoed in her head over and over again until it became something she was both familiar with and comfortable saying. She hadn’t said that word in years, not since she was a (uni)kitten. She knew what eventually became of the person that the name belonged to and she knew that she wasn’t ready to deal with that yet, instead she remained tucked into the warmth of the memory she cherished most.
Her eyes were closed in this memory but she could see herself as a much smaller and younger kitten, curled up in her bed within her old room in Cloud Cuckoo Land, back then the night time was usually silent which allowed her thoughts to form beautiful dreams. The moonlight illuminated her room from above, animating the missing details. She could see her old overfilled toy box, her miniature scratching post that was well past its better days, and various pages of colourful scribbles from her childhood drawings proudly plastered all over the walls. There was something that the image could not convey and that was the sweet scented air that permeated the bedroom like paint flowing through water. It smelled very similar to cotton candy and she knew exactly where it had come from, the bright flowers that sat dormant in its deep purple vase on the night stand beside her bed. The flowers had a small but precious glow to them that acted as a natural night light.
Beside her bed was a figure that resembled her own, feline but with a horn but shrouded in a warm shadow as she blocked the natural moonlight.
“Sleep tight and don’t let the bedbugs bite” said the figure in a sing-song manner and with a smile she could both hear and see. Followed by the gentle kiss on her head, like a fingerprint the kiss was imprintented to the point that Unikitty could feel it. Suddenly everything felt dark as she felt her conscious mind fall to dreams.
Wa’Nabi watched as Unikitty drifted off, waiting for her beating heart to slow down like the ticking clock was manifested through each beat. She couldn’t help but adore how Unikitty looked as it is a well known fact that sleeping cats are adorable but she was mostly elated to see that opening up to her had allowed Unikitty some much needed rest. When Unikitty had finished amazing her with captivating descriptions of Cloud Cuckoo Land and the tales and secrets she admitted to not telling anyone before, it was like a grand opening for an epic theatrical tale. However, as she continued her tale and learned of Cloud Cuckoo Land’s fate and everything that happened afterwards, the story of Unikitty’s life spiralled downwards into a tale of tragedy.
Guilt had crept across her consciousness, feeling helpless and wishing she had sent Sweet Mayhem sooner but the rational part of her mind knew that the only thing she was guilty of was not being specific with Sweet Mayhem when she sent her to retrieve Unikitty. But as Unikitty had neared the end of the story, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride knowing that she was likely the only person to relive Unikitty of a lifetime’s worth of problems and maybe even concluded her tale with a happy ending.
But now Wa’Nabi found herself dealing with a new problem, what to do now? She knew Unikitty would likely make up her mind on staying with her when she will eventually awaken but that was the thing she did not WANT her to wake up until she was ready, Unikitty needed this sleep and she would feel terrible if she rudely interrupted it. For a moment she considered carefully shapeshifting into a comfortable bed but that created another problem, not only was Unikitty’s chamber not ready but Wa’Nabi also had a lot of royal duties. She already willingly sacrificed time to help her new feline friend but she could not sacrifice a whole day and so she took a minute to think.
It was not her first idea, nor her second, third, fourth or even tenth but she decided to make use of her form as a snake. She inched herself closer so that her snout was just inches from Unikitty’s head before inching further and opening her mouth by a tad and inching even closer. She made a point to approach this slowly as her mouth wrapped around Unikitty’s horn and opened wider to allow her long snake tongue to slide under the rest of her body like a carpet. When this was achieved, Wa’Nabi’s tongue retracted like a frog’s but in slow motion with her mouth enveloping Unikitty’s frame until nothing but her tail was sticking out. All that was left was for her to slowly lean her head back and swallow gently and before she could process what she just did, she felt the small little body inside her slide down her throat as an adorable little bulge to the outside world.
The feeling was something she did not expect and it left her confused, how could swallowing someone whole feel so… right? It made her blush with embarrassment at the absurdity of it before she quickly snapped back into reality, feeling Unikitty travel deeper into her innards before resting inside of her stomach. There was a long pause as Wa’Nabi observed the bulge for movement, worried that the slimy journey awoke the sleeping princes, until realising she could still feel her little heart sleepily beating against her insides. To Wa’Nabi’s relief and amazement, she was still asleep and let out a satisfied sigh.
“You sleep now, little Princess, Queen Watevra Wa’Nabi’s got you now” She said before giving a goodnight kiss to the bulge.
