The Khaar are a free-to-use race I created. feel free to draw your very own (but read the introductions of the Khaar below to understand the race itself)
May I introduce you to my Khaar OC?
He name is Utopia which was always the name of mage characters I played in games of every kind.

Lemme tell you something about utopia:
She was a good mage in lifetime but one time she had to flee in face of too many enemies after ehr allies where already dead. With one last try. tired and exhaused she tried to change into a fox to hide in a nearby forest.
It failed.
As she awakened she didn't regognized who she was at all. only very few things. Since then she lifed on and stealed a lot of paper everywhere she can and wrote (yeah khaar doesn't loose abilities they had in "life"). She has an identify disorder. She even doubts that she exists at all. She needs a prove to be existing so she writes/draws down everything what comes into her mind.
"I think, therefore I am"
The Khaar describtion:
They are creatures who are only a "product" of wrong used magic. Sometimes if a magician is too tired (or just unskilled ~haha~) and he/she wants to change his form they mutate into this creature with no chance to change back. Mostly they lose their awareness of the self and become mindless beasts.
They are not dead but doesn't life either. They are soemthing between dead an living. Since they can't 'produce' anything in they body to keep them alive they need to swallow everything what contains what could be called 'energy of life'. they swallow souls or just bits of it. (those victims get older in instant or die)
They prefer to be solitary. (There aren't many of them anyways)
They are mute and (if they still have they awareness) try to impress their feelings about gestures. To set up the neck feathers for example.
The feather color depends on the hair color of the magician and their "glow" on the eyecolor.
Of they still have some kind of awareness of self inside it's mostly hard damaged so they loose all their sanity. They might have their clear moments but they get what you would describe as "mental illnesses" like shizophrenia, paranoia, narzism, pyromanic and so on.
Khaar are genderless.

understandable. you had me thinking twice about it since i know cognitive is derived from cogito, and i wasn't sure myself till i looked it up. it's one of my favorite concepts from philosophy and i have it burned into my mind from the classes in philosophy i've taken.
Sadly I never had philosophy in class. I read everything about it al by myself v.V I really would like to take serious lessons about it but meh. schooldays are over..
so your done with college? i took 3 classes in it but continue to study and research it on my own as well. i've actualy been more busy with Independent studies than i was with regular studies when i was in college.^^; amazing how personal interest works as a motivator.
yes... no.. some kind of. I am german-there is nothing like a college here. I am at a school for art and graphic.
i thought there was school for higher learning beyond the Gymnasium (i hope i'm spelling that correctly)? i thought i remembered my 12th grade german teacher saying there were universities in germany. i hope i'm not confusing my countries or history though. i might be thinking of germany or there area around the black forest that hosted some of europe's first universities by the catholic church back in the times before or during the renaissances period.
hmm yeah here are a lot of good universities to get your "diplom" or master or bachelor-of-whatever. But is that what a college is?
That's the formal way after your "official schoollife" an option if you managed to get "abitur" and good grades. (and if your parents rich enought. it's all about the money, isn't it?)

yes, a college is basically the same thing as a university. although, the term university is normally used in reference to schools that teach the highest degree's that take the most years. but some colleges go just as high as universities too.
it's all about the money in deutschland too? or are you asking that about the u.s.a? it definitely is here. statistically speaking, around 75% of the population in the u.s. cannot afford higher education beyond high school. i'm not sure what percentage of this 75% takes things like loans and financial support to pay to attend a university or college but of the people who do, around 50% of them will fail to pay that money back and will be forced to forfeit all their possessions to what ever service or company they got money from. this normally results in the student being made homeless. the situation isn't all that different from what apparently led to the overthrow of egypt's government. while egypt's university students where not being able to find jobs after graduating, that very same problem is happening here as well. yet no one seems to notice it.
there's apparently another crisis on the verge of happening here with the bad way the colleges are handling money for payments. they say that once this "bubble of credit" for the colleges and universities bursts, it was cause an even worse collapse in the international stock market than when the housing "bubble" burst back in 2007. it's likely to be a nation killer for us in the sense that it truly would plunge the entire country into wide spread bankruptcy and homelessness (not that it isn't already starting to be like that).

The whole world only cares for money. It would naive to believe in the opposite.
It's not THat bad here but it seems to be lead into the very same situation since the costs for universities rises without an end. My monthly payment for my education of art at my current university takes 360 euro per month that are over 500 USD - monthly. It's different to every university.

that's a little lower that here but not by much. doesn't your country have some form of free education beyond grade school? i can't remember. it's at least easy to spot the one modern country in the world that gives nothing to it's people. just point to the u.s.
free education? you want something for FREE? Don't make me laught. =/ the only way to get a free education is to be very skilled and the schoolreally wants you to polish their image so they agree to let you study for free.
Otherwise it might be possible that you get a job which is coupled to a education means you are working somewhere but did those things the first time. So they shorten your money for the first 2 years or 3 and try to make you familiar witht he job.

o,..,o nette rasse bzw monster wenn ich noch lesen könnte was da alles steht währs sicher toll :D bin aber zu schlecht in englisch und zu faul es zu lesen.

Very neat, and quite the interesting concept to the species!
i really wanted to make a relisic skull animal suit at some point similar idea to this sull head durr down it skeliton tail ect with red eyes although this here gives me ideas i was wondering if i could incorporate some of your ideas into my suit like the bird like claws and spikes down the back ...
