Wanted to do a little bit more of Orias before I move on to doing some other work that I owe people. Again this is an OC I made just for fun, so don"t expect anything grand with him. But the least I can give is a little short story"s worth so here:

Orias Roade, otherwise known as the pirate "Sea Jackal", is a capable fighter and sailor both. He wields his kopis-styled blade called Fishbone as well as a huge boney anchor he calls Krakenhook as his weapons of choice. The only home he has ever known is the sea, and he rarely ever sets foot on the mainland for any reason. In his fishman form he can maneuver in the water with ease and he becomes overall stronger and more durable. This form also comes with tendrills that can electrocute and paralyze others like an eel, though he rarely uses them as he finds his general strength to be enough in most fights.

There have been times where he would join other pirate crews for promises of money or adventure, though he found that most pirates were untrustworthy and would eventually move on and sail alone. Many are often intimidated by his shark-like form when he assumes it, and finds it useful when he wants to keep arrogant pirates who would otherwise pick fights with him at a distance.

His father Allum Roade was also a well-known pirate whose most infamous crime was the theft of a treasure called the Leviathan"s Pearl from a kingdom built atop the water. He met his end at sea, having been pursued relentlessly by royal ships in an attempt to reclaim the pearl during a vicious storm, and it was assumed that his son Orias who was on the same boat met the same fate.

Having realized later that the boy was indeed alive but sighted at times with a monstrous appearance, rumors spread of the pearl possessing the drowned boy and transforming him into a hideous beast of the sea, and efforts to retrieve the seemingly cursed treasure were reconsidered. The rumors served Orias well in misdirecting those ignorant of his true origins, as he was in actuality a fishman born of a mermaid mother and a human father, and the Leviathan"s Pearl was not cursed though in the wrong hands it could cause a terrible calamity. Orias now safeguards the pearl as he travels the seas, making sure that it does not cause the revival of an ancient leviathan that could doom countless lives with centuries of endless rain.
