Abbot of Ikolos,

       I am happy to hear that you have moved up and landed a position befitting your skills and knowledge. Being a figurehead must get tiresome, with all the courting, brown nosing, negotiations, and backstabbing! Seeing as your letter found me you must know where I am. Yes, I am a noble within the Hennesvalch kingdom, setting out on new ventures into a previously uncontrolled land. Here we are building something great! Maybe one day you will choose to leave that cloister and decide to see for yourself what I mean. Seeing the world has given me a grand perspective in how small our lives once were. Though I know for some the thought of journeying outside of one’s own small, miniscule corner of the world can be frightful, I still hold that it was one of my best decisions and could have once been yours. Even here I am observing and understanding our former studies in new and different ways that even you could not fathom. Maybe one day I’ll write a story of my travels and hand sign a copy for you to keep nearby.
