So your body is a temple and all that,
but it's a temple that is haunted and in a permanent state of decay.
Your body is a temple and you constantly wonder who came up with such a flawed design.
You were forced to move in, blind and mute and brainless.
Before you were even a something.
Some parts you wish to tear down to nothing,
others you want to sharp to a dangerous knife point.
Make it full of claws and teeth.
Your body is a temple and it is very much haunted.
Haunted by you.
You make do with what you have. You are only a frail specter after all.
But sometimes you can be a large entity.
Sometimes the cage of your ribs feels suffocating.
You scream and you rattle inside the bone box of your skull.
What are you doing? Are you really feeling this?
Are you mad?
Your body is a temple and is so very fragile, it demands things from you.
You hate it.
Just deal with it.
Caged entity that you are you can't interact in the right way with the world.
You want too much.
You don't want nearly enough.
What are you?
You find names and words, good words that you cling to like they're precious artifacts.
They make you feel less undefined, they give you a semblance of a form, of understanding.
Better than nothing.
Sometimes it is everything.
But are you really the words you chose?
Or are you just grasping at flotsam so you won't drown inside your own head?
You are an eldritch being inside a glass cube.
People look at you and are frightened, are confused.
You feel the same way on those bad nights.
Just deal with it.
It can be good sometimes.
Your body is a temple and you are a ghost inside a labyrinth.
Just bask in the absurdity
You are not human
You have no choice but be the most human you can.
Oh BOY....
A bit of a stream of conciousness on this one
Congratz if you had the patience to read it all.
I just had a lot of....thoughts? Feelings? Nonsensical philosophical musings?
This the weirdest, most obscure pride month illustration ever made hahaha
Anyway happy pride month to all of you who feel the inherent mostrocity of the queer experience =D
Stay strong fellow creatures!

Dum inter homines sumus, colamus humanitatem.
Shackled to this slowly decaying meat sack is one of the purest forms of torture;
Not having one to feel the dawning of the sun on your face, the moist kiss of your lover, is the other.

Bodies am I right?
Damned if you have them, damned if you don't!
Heh, thanx a lot for taking the time to leave such an insightful comment.

It's all about the outside-ness and monstrous-ness of being made of flesh and also not conforming to the status quo!
Thanx a lot for taking the time to read my ramblings, glad it touched you in some small way <3

was literally thinking similar thoughts naught but 15 minutes before looking at this, heh... Being attached to this body I got is so bizarre, I keep forgetting that it's my physical presence in the world, my god, it's what people SEE when they look at me!? This?? THIS is the way I interact with the world? ahh jeeze, it's almost comical :')
I'm in love with this piece, I think. Something about this really, really speaks to me. 🖤
I'm flattered that you felt that about this piece!
I was in a really introspective mood when I drew this...and when I wrote the description too.
It's cool to see other people connecting to it hehe
Thanx a lot for commenting!
