You had known that the local bookshop owner, a tall always well-dressed horse named Ren, was the subject to many a rumor about him. From the most simple of him being a collector of obscure books and trinkets...to the most wildest one of him being able to 'Blow himself up like a balloon'. The first one you could understand, the horse was a bit eccrentic and seemed to have a fascination with the obscure...but this? Blowing himself up? Ridculous. So, one afternoon, you decide to go to his bookshop and decide to ask him, despite the warnings from your friends. The moment you ask him that, he smiles widely and guffaws loudly, holding his belly. You wondered if he laughed cause he thought that was the funniest question in the world. You were right, but not for the reason you expect, for he answered, "Course i can! Heck, i do it often!"
Now, crossing your arms, you frown and say he doesn't have to make a joke of it. But the tall horse then ges this bigger grin, "No, seriously, I can inflate. Observe..." A moment passes as he steps back from you and, already, you hear a long *fwwwwwwwwwsssshhhh* emitting from his body. For next minute or two, you watch with a slack jaw as the horse begins to bloat up and round out, buttons on his coat and shirt popping off like pellets (you managed to avoid one) and his hooves leaving the ground as his bloated limbs sink in, beginning to make him float up to the ceiling above you, facing you still...
"Believe me now?!" He says with a strong sense of pride at your stunned reaction, his bloated face cocking as he bounces against the ceiling. You look to some of the other customers, others are staring with a small blush, but a few, known to come here often, just give you a look and shake your head. This was probably a common sight, and one that you HAD to keep coming to see now. What else did this horse have...?
