A Thursday_Prompt response. This week's prompt was "Architecture."
After having read an in-game book about a city you cannot actually go to in Skyrim the other day, this idea struck my fancy once I saw the prompt.
Let's just say that you can't always judge a book by its cover - or even sometimes by what is inside!

I don't often go for humor, but I think this works... ^_^
Aw... I thought I found my next vacation spot, but these reviews leave me second guessing...
That contrast between the official expository text and the ranting was so good! That shift even on its own made the whole story worth it. What a glorious, culturally rich, complex, and apparently rather smelly city.
Also this story has more worldbuilding for its city than many books taking place entirely in fantasy cities give throughout the entire run of the novel. I loved it.

LOL! Thank you for the compliments! When all you have is a short amount of space, packing it with rich detail is important... At least, so I tend to believe.
bwahahahahahahaha... I think he knows what the second fella's talking about...

Oh dear, guess they don't have any false advertising laws! ;)
Like in the modern day, if you want a real experience, don't go on the tours. Talk to a local. ^_^
ok this format is brilliant LOL
Never knew "wondrous fantasy cities reviewed by a disgruntled peasant" was a genre I needed... but now I want more.

LOL! Thanks for reading! Maybe I'll write more at some point. There are certainly plenty of fantasy cities out there to talk smack about.
