One of the more numerous of the Assembly, the Penitent are meant to fly above the battlefield and apply detrimental magical or alchemical effects to their enemies with their bombs and flasks. Named for the emotion the bring to the battlefield, and for their purpose. This caste of the Assembly is kept semi-hidden from most faithful, as to not strain the illusion that the Church is in fact what it seems to be. Only the Sanguine and the Penitent are permitted to wear the veil.
