Card Story

Here to help you

It is still morning and the sound of falling raindrops echoes through the city and among its residents. Unlike nature doing its thing, everything looked like a normal day in Sal and Dreamous's house; While Dreamous was working, Sal stayed at home doing his part as an artist until his partner returned. The morning was normal........ until

Sal: *discouraged* *deeply sigh* it still raining

Sal: (I don't have nothing bad with the rain, is just that i don't have much of the mood right now to enjoy it)

Sal: *sigh * I hope it ends soon

Ging-gong!!- suddenly said the door

Sal: Umm? Someone is in the door

Who could be?- though Sal

Sal: (Who would be this crazy to go out in this weather?)

Ding-Dong- said the door again, and Sal's dogs went to it and started to bark

I am coming, Just give me a sec- Said Sal with a strong voice

Sal calmed down to his dogs and after that he proceeded to see who is in the door

Sal: Who is it?

Sal: *surprised * !!!!!!

He was shocked with the person of was in the other side of the door

Sal: Marco? What are you doing here?

Marco: ¡Good morning! Sal, how……how are you?

Can I enter? -Said the bignand wet lion- It's raining outside and…

Marco: (sneeze) A-a-Achoo!!!

Marco suddenly get terrified after it, he gets anxious as Shouko Komi and searched desperately for his handkerchief

Sal: Come inside now!

Marco nodded

Sal unlocked the door and let Marco go inside, Sal was impressed that Marco was in his house, specially because they just messaged more earlier. Why is Marco here? He asked to himself, then the lion talked

Marco: Thank you so much for let me enter Mr Sal, here I bought some groceries for you, fortunately it not get wet, at difference of my fur and clothes

Sal: You don't have to thank me, it's raining outside, How could I have left you out?, let's go to the living room and let me bring you a towel

Marco: That would be nice, if you don't have problem

Marco and Sal went to the living room, and Sal gave a towel to Marco to dry his fur, the lion took off his jacket and started to dry all the water of his fur. After that….

Sal: *Lil smile* better?

Marco: Yup, thanks again, I am not wet anymore

Sal: hehe You are welcome

So the silence suddenly appeared, some seconds before Sal asked

Sal: So what brought you here? I don't think it was just to bring us groceries, thank you but you know we can buy our stuff ourselves.

Marco: Oh y-y-yes

Marco: I was very worry about you, how you didn't reply me a few days ago and just today told me that you were dealing with some emotional issues so suddenly, I wanted to help you to feel better

Marco: So I took my motorcycle and bought the groceries, and immediately came here.
But I didn't know that it was raining here so I ended up all wet.

Marco: I came here because I wanted to help you, I like to listen my friends and help them with their emotional issues, you have me if you need to vent

After all Marco said, Sal said

Sal: I really appreciate your interest but I deal with my issues in my own way. Venting doesn't help me really

Sal: Look I already happened for a lot of emotional problems before, I have my own process to get better

Sal: I will be fine, I promise. This is far from the first time I've dealt with this.

Sal: i am 36, I can clearly handle with it.

Sal: Understand it?

Sal: Uh?

Marco keeps in silence for some seconds and starts searching for a blanket in his backpack…. He start to talk

Marco: I clearly understand

Marco: you are years of have been dealing with difficult things

Marco: Years of experience

Marco: But I want that you know that you aren't alone or the only who deals with a lot of emotional issues

Marco: I want to help you because I love you

Marco: You always make me feel better, give me advices, and make beautiful things for me, just reply my messages is special coming from you

Marco: It's my turn to help you too

Marco covered with the blanket and he said

Marco: *extend his hand* Would you like to sit close to me? It's getting cold for the rain and it's better that we keep warm, I'll cover us with my blanket, don't worry I gonna go to my home after rain stops, please

After another moment of silence, Sal thought for a moment before give an answer

Sal: *nods* Alright

Marco was happy, instantly he and Sal cuddle the each other and and they are covered with the blanket, after feel comfy Sal said:

Sal: *smiles* Thanks Marco, I appreciate the things you said. You don't have to come on so strongly, hehe. I promise it's fine

Marco: *sadly sigh* Alright

I wish I could do something for you- Marco said hiding how pathetic he was feeling but he suddenly got an idea

Marco: *joyful* I know!! I gonna draw something special to you to cheer you up

Sal: You really don't have to do that if you don't want to, it's really fine.

Marco: I really want to do this ^^

Suddenly the big lion Yawned, he couldn't hide how embarrassed he felt

Sal: Oh haha, tired? Haven't had a good night?

Marco: well yeah just a bit and this rain just make worse the things

Marco: Can I take a nap with you? Just if you don't have problem

Sal thought for some seconds

Sal: okay, but just this time haha

Marco: Thanks, really thanks for this opportunity!

Sal: Marco!!

Marco cuddle in Sal's arm just as Lil child sleeping with his dad, after being ready he said:

Marco: You should sleep a bit too

Marco: I know you work a lot so you should rest a bit

Marco: I like to cuddle even I usually don't have someone to do it, don't worry I am good with it

Sal thought for a while, he had two options, sleep or stay awake while his husband ended work, suddenly….

Sal: *yawn* Fine, but just a short nap, Dreamous will come soon

Marco: Sure, there's any problem if he wants to be part of our nap

Sal: I wasn't referring to that but it's ok haha

Marco: hehe, ok, referring to the art to cheer you up, I'll do my best

Sal: sure, just make what your heart wants, you aren't obey to do it if you don't want

Marco: Of course Sal ^^

Marco started to think about what Sal said….

Marco: ( Make what my heart wants?, Oh Sal, I wish I could express all the feelings from my heart, but I wouldn't like to lose you. Right now all my heart wants is to stay by your side. I grew up in a lovely family with all the love of my parents, they always loved me but in exchange, they wanted me to be something that I am not, they wanted me to be a better version of themselves.)

"Marco's Father: Son!! When someone is making something, always go and help him"

"Marco's Father: Stop to make that moves, you look like a girl"

"Marco's Father: when are you gonna start to congress in the church?, look at you Lil brother he already got baptized and you not, haha the Lil brother being the example for his other siblings, follow his example!!!"

"Marco's father: All I want is that you obey me, and you never do it, I always work hard for give food or pay the bills, why you don't help in nothing in house "

"Marco's Father: why you always with that face and that attitude, why you can't be happy?, Smile arrgg, or something is missing? "

Marco: (my brother and mother were the same but the one who did it was my father, he was like the king when I was in my parents house. I tried to always be perfect to him and make all he said, hide my feelings and likes, but it doesn't was enough to him,)

Marco: (but one day, while I was alone, I found you and Dreamous, and both gave me something that my parents didn't do, acceptance and a place where I belong. I always saw and admired how united they are, and all the effort that they give to their projects; how determined and independent they are, living their life, even the hard moments that they could have, that inspired me to start to draw and write my own, and to be more like them .)

Marco: (Tbh you two are like two dads to me, and always that I am with you, I feel that I can be myself and no one will reject me or tell me how I need to be, I feel safe and free. By the time I wanted to be like a son for them, all they made to me just for being themselves, they were part of the people who saved my life from alone.

Marco:(I used to survive, but you two give me a reason what keeps me alive, and are the true friends that I have, the ones who take care of me and I take care of them. I owe them a lot even they don't believe it, now I want to give you the same you give to me)

Marco: (*sigh* I wish you could know these true and pure feelings, but I can't tell you directly. I am always nervous when I have to say my true feelings, and I don't want you to feel that I am a stalker for being as I am. all my heart wants right now is make you feel safe and loved)

Um, Sal?- The lion asked

Yes?- an half sleep Sal said

Marco: I understand that you have your own process to deal with bad feelings, and that you have years of experience with it, at the end you are older than me…..

Marco: I respect your decision and venting does not work very well for you but…

Marco: We all need someone who stands by our side and supports us through difficult times, even if it is just quietly supporting us

Marco: you are a special and important person, and you have people who love you and will take care of you

Marco: I can feel that you are suffering inside, I don't know exactly what are you feeling and you aren't obligated to tell me

Marco: But I want that you know that you aren't alone, and I'll always will be able if you want to express your feelings with someone, you are safe with me too

Marco look at the face of the bun, waiting that he will say, Sal look at Marco discreetly and he smiled

Sal: *grateful * Thanks

Marco feel good, and both fall asleep.

Later

I am at home!- Said Dreamous happily

Dreamous enter, say hello to his dogs and go to the living room finding Marco and Sal sleeping

Dreamous: *surprised* (At the end, Marco came to our home)

Hey you two!!!- Said the dragon

Marco and Sal: !!!!!!!

Dreamous: it's cold outside and I would like to get warm. Can I join you two?

Sal: hehe only if Marco is ok with it

Marco: *determined and happy* Yeah ^^ I don't have any problem

Dreamous went and cuddled on Sal's side, staying both quite together…

Dreamous: Hey

Sal: Hey

And as the beautiful couple that they are, they just kiss

Marco: * gratefully smile*

Marco: ( Mr Sal, Mr Dreamous, I understand that you two passed for a lot of things, but even so, both keep smiling. I'm gonna do my best to keep that smile, all I want is to see you two happy, I'm gonna make sure that you have good times with me, and be a support in the worst time, both of you deserve a lot of beautiful things, I want to give you two the same as you did when I was more younger , and one day be as a son to you two. I promise that I will fulfill all this, I promise with all my heart).
