I prevailed and drew another dragon for my world; the Tundrasiberian.
Russia is a huge multiethnic nation so this guy is one of the tribes that live in the country around the Moscow and Eastern European areas. They are closely related to the Walddrachen which is how they can make healthy Tundradrachen offspring and why they look very similar to one another.
Before WW1 Russia was a poor, underdeveloped and Tsarist nation boasting the largest army in the world. It was only until late 1800s that Russia started industrialising, but that didn't make the situation any better compared to the rest of Europe, dragons were still poor and the Tsar did nothing. In 1904 the Tsar in an effort to regain his people's support went to war with Japan which went horribly wrong, fuelling even more unrest within the country.
WW1 started, Germany quickly mobilised to attack France as fast as possible predicting that the Russians would be too slow to reach the Eastern Front, but they were wrong. Despite the troops being undersupplied and the amount of setbacks Russia held out on the Eastern Front for three years until the empire reached its boiling point and the Tsar was ousted from his position of power by his own Tundrasiberian tribe who marched under their own idea of a form of government: communism.
Russia pulled out of the war under heavy conditions and went on to become the Soviet Union in the days following the war's end.
