Eileen's family has had a long-standing connection to the Armed Forces, with her siblings and relatives serving across all branches. Of her siblings serving in the Army, Corporal Alasdair 'Ally' Heartingale is an Electronic Warfare Operator with the Royal Corps of Signals.
Fancied drawing something outside of my usual scope, as I have a keen interest in the forces myself. I also tried a different brush for the line-art,as I wanted to experiment with balancing a cleaner but sketch-like style. The L85 was traced from an IRL image, as I've never really drawn firearms before.

I have a DPM field jacket (the smock without the hood) with the same patch! Nice
Woodland DPM Temperate smock S95, not the ripstop one or the DPM windproof smock with build in hood. Has the same corps patch, great combat coats but a bit bulky for everyday wear. Tho something about it kept me from selling or trading it yet lol. I do like DDPM field shirts and pants (omg so lightweight but my size is hard to find), but tropentarn might be a bit of a personal fav lol. German parkas are a better cut for my use vs the smocks the brits have

Nice!! I recently bought myself a DDPM combat shirt! Need to get some trousers, as I want to build an early Op TELIC impression. ^w^
I've been collecting mil stuff for like 10 years, i gained weight and got rid of a lot of stuff I'd fit again now that I'm smaller. British desert stuff kicks ass, idk the durability but never had lighter weight pants. Other than rhat I'm trying to sell stuff that's rotting in the closet or boxes, give it to someone who actually can use it or give it a better home. I have too many items and don't wear a lot outside a small circle of regular items
Ah, that's understandable. I swore by the woodland DPM combats I had when I was an air cadet! :D
