Edwin Sketch-a-Week: W18

My first lineless commission. I enjoy the tufts of fur on the checks and what is escaping from his collar. The expression is a lot of fun, more puzzlement than the usual grumpiness. Lastly, I really like how they went about the back spot effect on the face and ears. That is the closest to "peppering," which is what it says on the reference sheet, that I have seen!
Detail = less than Fair. The pepper does a lot to spice up the piece, along with the lighting effect on the head and cheek fury tufts. Everything else is to the point.
Shape & Borders = well beyond slightly Soft, Round Lines. There are many rounded edges to this piece. The use of gradient shadowing al contributed to this rating.
Anthro type = Near-Human. No snout. Also, the head could belong to an anime character if not for the tufts of fur breaking up the silhouette.
Furry Art Style Category = Solidly Toony with those rounded edges.
