Never watched the show, but heard of him because of that line, and also when he shows his rump LOL. This is quite funny honestly XD
I think he is funny, and handsome at the same time. Sometimes he act a bit selfish in show, and this picture and pose suits him VERY much)
He is a bit of a narcissist, isn't he? Luckily, now he has a justified reason to show off!
I haven't actually watched any episodes of The Lion Guard either despite being the one who commissioned him. The only reason I know about him is because of FA, I don't even know what he sounds like! But I knew I had to eventually get something of him flaunting his predatory potential, and Jashin was a pretty safe bet to make that happen.
There is an episode where Makucha rhe leopards accidentally lands upon him. Thurston begs him not to eat him, whereupon Makucha says
"I'm after someone a lot tastier than you."
At which point Thurston spends the rest of the episode being offended that someone is tastier xD

Super late with replying to this comment, but yep, I was aware of this already! If I recall correctly, my first exposure to Thurston was in the form of one of ph0220's stories where he gets blinded by jealousy and tries various tactics to get Makucha to eat him.
Maybe Makucha's the one in there as a form of revenge for saying he isn't tasty enough!or maybe it's you, seems you like to visit his gut a lot

They're pretty strong opponents for lions, they fight like no herbivore but like preds! Hehe

Okay, but like, hear me out: what if the predator knew that Thurston intended to eat them, but just didn't care? Like, who wouldn't want to be shown off by Thurston as he poses like one of your french zebras?
The prey is supposed to be largely ambiguous, but that said, it was intended to be a lion.
