Leo Star and Nik Guo - two unlikely adventurers whose paths independently led them to forced body modification. Leo acquired his cybernetic parts through a botched robotization attempt by a strange underground faction, and a madman replaced Nicky's skin with golden armor in an experiment to create life everlasting. Despite being separated by their oppressors for decades, these best friends always end up finding each other. Now, their short stature is no longer a hindrance in their butt-kicking pursuits.

Nicky's become virtually invulnerable and gained the power of flight, while Leo's mysterious abilities continue to reveal themselves. In the meantime, his cannon packs quite a punch.
