⦁ Biography: Atargatis is one of the many 1/2 mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena. She was born days in between Natsumi & Masami, and is the twin sister to Coralia. As Atargatis was born a minute after Coralia, Atargatis is the younger twin. Atargatis is one of the few in the family to surpass her mother in terms of bust size, second only to her sister Malila. Just like Coralia, Atargatis possesses a K-Cup bust, yet her breasts are 1 inch bigger than Palutena's. Atargatis grew up with great respect for her father, and a strong sense of justice. So, like many of her siblings have done, she wished to become a fighter to help him in his never ending struggle to keep her homeworld of Olympus safe from evildoers wherever they may arise. She discovered that she had a knack for both swordplay, and magic, which is the result of inheritance from both her parents with the former coming from her father, and the latter coming from her mother. Atargatis proved a quick study with the sword & managed to nail many techniques with it. But Atargatis was discovered to have a knack for using Pyromancy & Cryomancy, and found that she was able to blend the two perfectly. As such, just like Coralia, Atargatis pursued the path of Magus. Yet, she learned how to fight using a spear as well instead of a staff. Afterward, Atargatis was one of the handful of Juni's 1/2 mermaid daughters (The others being Adalina, Lysandra, Atsuko, Senta, Margarites, and Coralia) to be enlisted into joining Fairy Tail as an honorary member of the guild alongside her father. This has further motivated Atargatis to help defend her home, and even the Fairy Tail universe, from all who oppose truth & justice. Atargatis is just as affectionate & sisterly as her older twin sister Coralia. But, unlike Coralia, Atargatis knows when to let go. In stark contrast to Coralia however, Atargatis is a poor dancer as she just doesn't sport a big sense of rhythm like Coralia does. Atargatis likes a spot of ice cream, and is disheartened when she sees glaciers undergoing their melting phase. However, she too is an absolute mudlark & will throw herself into a quicksand pit the moment she hears one in her vicinity. A true mistress at creating dry ice.
⦁ Abilities: Being 1/2 Mermaid, Atargatis is capable of taking on her mermaid form at any point she enters the water, but like her siblings, she prefers the water to be either fresh, or seawater. She also wishes for the waters to be majorly, or completely clean, before she transforms. Atargatis is a type is mermaid known as a cuttlemaid, meaning she has the tentacles & mantle fins of a Cuttlefish. In her case: A Broadclud Cuttlefish. She has an excellent grip with her tentacles, and is capable of making 2 extra ones appear to grasp far away targets. Like her twin sister Coralia, Atargatis is a talented magus, but she has chosen to be one who uses fire & ice. Dubbing her magic type as Twin Elements, Atargatis is a master of alternating between the two elements in rapid succession, and is even capable of blending the two perfectly for heavy magical damage. She too is a competent swordswoman & can match even the most skilled of swordsman. But Atargatis also favors using spears instead of staves, namely as a means of balancing out her offense & defense. Her equipment & spell pool are as follows.
⦁ Silver Flamberge: A silver sword whose wavy pattern makes for angled cuts. It's double-edged, so it can cover more ground easily.
⦁ Kikuchi Yari: A strong spear that makes for a good long range melee weapon. It's so sturdy, and its blade so sharp, it's truly a formidable weapon.
⦁ Heat Shot: Atargatis fires a burst of fire that will burn even the foes behind her initial target.
⦁ Frost Shot: Same as Heat Shot, but with ice instead. And the ice will pierce the target instead, and it can cause frostbite as well.
⦁ Flame Beam: Atargatis fires a beam of hot flames from her finger at her target. Sometimes she'll cast this with her spear.
⦁ Ice Beam: Atargatis shoots a chilling beam of ice at her opponent from her finger. She may cast this spell from her eyes, too.
⦁ Hot Dry Ice: Atargatis creates a ball of ice with flames inside of it, then throws said ice at a group of enemies. The dry ice explodes upon hitting a target, or the ground. If the latter, then the dry ice will be alight & burn constantly until the fragments come into contact with a target.
⦁ Frostburn: Atargatis calls upon ice shards infused with fire magic to impale foes. If they succeed in impaling targets, the target will receive a bad case of frostbite. The damage can get worse if the flame inside the ice breaks free.
⦁ Flame Wall: Atargatis summons a huge wall of fire that burns anyone that comes into contact with it. It lingers for hours, so it can be used as a cover for escaping.
⦁ Ice Rock: Atargatis summons a huge ice crystal & makes it hover to an enemy where it will then crash down upon them painfully.
⦁ Plasma Beam: A more powerful version of Flame Beam. Atargatis surrounds her arm with fire magic until it forms an arm cannon. Then, a white hot blast of fire is shot from the cannon. 5 shots can be fired before the cannon dissipates. This spell can be charged up for a stronger attack, but this will make the cannon vanish instantly, but the damage a charged Plasma Beam deals is usually worth it.
⦁ Blizzard: Atargatis summons a howling blizzard that engulfs all within its path. Strong enough to cause quicksnow.
⦁ Freezing Brimstone: Atargatis's ultimate spell. She calls upon a storm of freezing rain to slam down on enemy targets within her casting range before adding white hot liquid brimstone to the mix. Anyone not frozen by the freezing rain will surely get hit by the molten brimstone instead.
