Sleepover turned digital


“Man, what a show, I should have watched it way sooner!” Tim, the maned wolf, exclaims.
Him and his friends met up for a sleepover, binge-watching all Digimon.
“Well good thing you enjoyed it, because I got a surprise for everyone.” Riikka, the Gobcat says. “When I was cleaning up my treasure chests, I found some of these.” She pulls out a set of 5 Digivices, looking just like the ones from the very first season but in different colours. “Oh cool! So, we can take care of our own Digimon!” Iku, the deer exclaim excitedly.
Riikka starts walking around the room, handing each of her friends a differently coloured Digivice. Starting with Tim who receives a pink Digivice. Next up is Iku who receives a purple one. Our next recipient Alaric, the black and white cat, receives a black Digivice. Finally Shrubie, the Arctic Fox, receives a white Digivice, leaving a light green one for Riikka to hold onto.
“With this now all of us are Digidestined!” Riikka says, everyone else agreeing with a loud. “Yeah!”

“Man could you imagine us just washing up in the Digiworld like Tai and the others?” Leggy says, dreaming about getting his own Digimon to team up with.
“It would certainly be interesting.” Iku responds also starting to think about what Digimon he would team up with.
All of them kind of lost in their own thoughts of who their Digipartner would be don´t notice their new Digivices emitting a strange glow.
“Wait what is happening?” Shrubie being the first to realize the weird glow, but by the time she asks the question it is too late. The room gets enveloped in a green light, making it impossible to make out what is happening. The furs start getting pulled into their respective Digivice, leaving the room empty with just the Digivices laying around, showing small pixelated Digimon on each screen.

After getting sucked into the Digivice, the maned wolf finds himself flying through a weird stream of light surrounding him. His body turning into a green wireframe. Not that he could see it himself, all he could focus on was the weird lights passing him and the feelings his body was going through. He feels his rather lean physique gaining in fat, expanding his belly. His legs grow shorter but more muscular to accommodate the new fat his body has t carry, his arms also shrink in length and growing in muscle and his Hands get covered by dark blue fur with a light blue diamond patterned on top his hands. His snout starts becoming more dog-like and his ears flop down making him resemble a dog now. His fur takes on a blue colour. After his body changed he next feels a tight pressure around his forehead, he can´t make out what it is though.
Next thing he feels is a Sumo ringers mawashi being tied around his lower region, right over his big new belly, finishing his transformation into his new form SumoGaomon.
Next thing he notices is him standing in the middle of a forest. Before he can pay attention to his surroundings, he starts exploring the changes his body went through. Now properly able to see and feel what has happened to him he realizes that he has taken on the physique of a Sumo wrestler whilst also taking on the traits of Gaomon, one of the Digimon he really liked.
“I could get used to this new body.” He muses to himself with a slight blush.
Next thing he does is look at his surrounding, noticing he is stranded in a forest; however, something is off about it, he notices big batteries slotted into the ground between the trees. “Hope the others are okay.” He thinks to himself making the batteries his first goal to travel to.

“What the hell is happening?” Riikka thinks to herself swirling through the same weird light that Tim found himself being flung through. Her body also turns into a wireframe, readjusting itself to the new world she is being transported to.
She feels her arms and legs slowly shrinking away, her body disappearing alongside them, leaving only her head which adjusts into a round shape with one long stretch ear the other side with a puffy ear, her hair being the only thing left of her original form.
Her new form now being a ToyKoromon, leaving her usual fluffy fur now a plush like outer fabric.
Before she can even process the change to her body, she feels herself falling onto the ground, surprisingly not feeling hurt by it. She lands in front of a lake, being able to see her new form in the water´s reflection. “What the hell?” she can only exclaim, seeing her new plushie like form, her face looking like it´s stitched together from two different types of cloth, her eyes replaced by buttons.
“What is going on?” She thinks to herself, trying to understand what has happened.
She notices she landed in a forest, but something is off. She sees some weird giant batteries sticking out of the ground in the distance between the trees, having no better option she decides to hop towards them.

“What are all these weird lights?” Alaric ponders, flying through the same strange vortex the other two found themselves in and just like the others his body also decides to adjust. The first thing he can feel is his body shrinking down a bit, and his legs disappearing under a white cloth hanging over his body now. His ears take on a rabbit like shape with purple highlights at the end of them, at the same time another set of rabbit like ears just like the first ones, start growing outwards leaving him with a set of four ears now. The cloth on his body gets tied up by a ribbon across his chest with a brooch resting in the middle resembling a sleeping moon.
His body now resembling the Digimon Lunamon. The only resemblance of his previous form being a purple pawprint on his face.
He lands in the same weird forest the others landed in, letting him examine his new form now. “How did I end up becoming this?!” he exclaims to himself. But before he could even fully process it he hears a noise thanks to his rabbit ears now being able to pick up sounds more easily. “What was that?” The noise resembles ice shattering, he decides to move towards it to check it out.

“What is happening?!” Iku loudly exclaims, swirling through the tunnel of light.
Just like the others his body starts to adjust to a new form, preparing him for the end of the tunnel. He feels his antlers disappearing and his overall form shrinking to a smaller size. His hooves turn into cat-like claws, adding paw beans to the inside of his hands and the sole of his feet. Furthermore, little crystals emerge on the back of his hands, adorning them with a light blue glow. His little deer tail starts growing, splitting itself into three longer tails. His face takes on a cat-like shape, growing some whiskers in the process. His body now covered in an orange fur with black stripes along his body. His appearance now resembling the Digimon Meicoomon.
Just as he notices the feelings of the transformation fading, leaving him in his new body, Iku realizes that he is falling from quite a great height. “Oh god what do I do?!” He exclaims, panicking and flailing in the air trying to find something to stop his fall. As he gets closer and closer to the ground he suddenly instinctively turns his paws towards the ground perfectly executing a cat´s landing. “Phew that was close.” After landing he looks closer at himself and examines his new form. “So, I’m a cat now?” He asks himself loudly but before he could ponder more on it, he notices a ball resembling a plush hopping towards him. Being in an unknown world and not knowing what that could be, he starts freezing up, like a deer caught in the headlights of a car.
He tries hiding behind a tree, hoping the ball did not notice him.
“Is that you Iku?” He suddenly hears a voice from behind him, startling him. But then he realizes the voice knowing his name. He turns around to face the ball, now realizing that it´s a Koromon looking like a stuffed animal, or well Digimon in this case. “Is that you Riikka?” he asks after noticing a familiar hairstyle on top of the plushie. “So, it is you, Iku!” Riikka exclaims, jumping towards him getting caught in his arms. “I was worried where everyone went, I´ve been transformed into this plushie Koromon and it seems like you also have been transformed.” She says snuggling up to Iku. “So maybe we have been transported to the Digi world?” Iku asks with a certain excitement in his voice. “I supposed, I was on my way towards these giant batteries over there, since they are a big landmark. Maybe the others will also be on their way towards it.” “That sounds like a solid plan.” Iku responds, carrying Riikka in his arms whilst making his way towards the Batteries with her.

“Oh, this is interesting!” Shrubie muses to herself flying through the tunnel of light we have found ourselves in many times today. Just like the others her body starts adjusting to the new world she is about to enter. Her fluffy fur changes to a light pink colour, whilst her ears start growing into long ears pointing upwards. He hands get covered in purple fur, adorned with a Yin-yang symbol on the back of her palms. Her fingers become thick paws. The rest of her body overall increases in thickness giving her body a much more pronounced shape. The one thing that pretty much stays the same is her giant fluffy tail, except for the change in colour of course. Now having finished her transformation she resembles the Digimon Renamon, albeit with a pink hue to her fur.
She lands in a forest, gracefully landing on her legs and immediately starts excitedly exploring her body. “I´m a Renamon now! That´s so cool.” Being the Digimon expert of the group, she immediately gets excited. She thinks about what she should do now that she is here. Seeing some giant batteries right next to her she decides to use them as target practice to find out if she can perform the same feats that she has seen Renamon perform in the anime.
Jumping up she tries summoning shards made of ice and fires them against the batteries, hearing a satisfying ice shattering sound. Right after landing she starts celebrating, being super excited to be able to perform the same abilities she has seen in the anime. Her excitement gets stopped short for a moment when she hears rustling from a nearby bush. “Who goes there?” She exclaims, striking a battle-ready pose. A Lunamon stumbles out of the bush, making Shrubie drop her guard for now. “Um hello, could you tell me where we are?” The Lunamon asks Shrubie.
“I don´t know to be honest.” Shrubie responds honestly, eliciting an exhausted sigh from the smaller Digimon. As Shrubie starts paying more attention to the little Digimon, she notices a familiar Pawprint on its face. “Is that you Alaric?”

“How do you know my name?” Alaric stumbles back, distancing himself from the unknown Renamon. “It´s me Shrubie!” She exclaims. Both being washed over with a feeling of relief knowing they aren’t alone in this strange world.
“So, I guess our dream of wanting to go to the digital world became true.” Alaric says, scratching the back of his head. “I guess so. This must mean the other also got sent somewhere in this world. Possibly also transformed just like us.” Shrubie says, trying to analyse the situation calmly but still being excited. The excitement is cut short though as they hear rustling from the bushes again.
“Who goes there?” both of them exclaim, getting into battle ready stances again.
“Seems like we got some fresh fodder, boys!” They hear a voice from behind the bushes exclaim.
A group of Goblimon emerge, holding their clubs ready to attack the two.
“It seems like there are unfriendly Digimon here as well just like in the show.” Alaric quietly whispers to Shrubie, the two of them backing up slowly, seeing the Goblimon outnumber them easily. However, they soon discover they are surrounded. “Guess we have to fight, huh.” Alaric says ready to fight. A Goblimon rushes in, ready to strike Alaric with its club, He moves in to defend but suddenly a ball lands on top of the Goblimon, stunning it. The ball lands in front of Alaric, looking at him. “Oh, hey Alaric.” Riikka says nonchalantly. “Riikka is that you?” Alaric looks confused at the plush Koromon in front of him. “Yeah it´s me, Iku is also here!” she exclaims as Iku comes running in, slashing some of the Goblimon as he passes them. “Hubby!” Iku exclaims running in for a hug.
“I´m happy the two of you are safe as well.” Alaric says. “Well i wouldn´t call this safe.” Shrubie says, bringing everyone´s attention back to the Goblimon surrounding them again.
A fight ensues, with Shrubie throwing icy crystals at the Goblimon in the back, Alaric and Iku build the front, protecting Riikka and Shrubie as best as they can.
Iku swiping his claws at them whenever they come to close, while Alaric spins to use his ears to create a small vortex of light energy, protecting the group while also pushing the Goblimon back. Riikka does her best supporting her friends from behind, shooting out bubbles coated with poison. The bubbles themselves don´t inflict much damage, however the poison helps slowing down the encroaching Goblimon.
As the lines of Goblimon get thinner one of them exclaims. “Hey boss, we got some feisty ones!” Suddenly an Ogremon emerges from beneath the trees. “Oh, you saying you guys are having trouble taking down a few Rookie Digimon while outnumbering them?” He haughtily makes fun of the Goblimon, lying down poking his nose and watching the show. “Come on don´t disappoint me.”
“Y-y-yes boss.” The Goblimon stutters. “Come on guys we can take them down!” The Goblimon invigorated with a newfound battle spirit continue pushing against the group. Forcing them ever further back until their backs are pushed against the batteries. “Well, anyone got any fancy plan?” Riikka asks the group. “Sadly, I don´t.” Alaric says.

Just as it all seems lost, they suddenly see a big blue mass shoving it´s way through the Goblimon, thinning their ranks even further. “Hey you guys, okay?” The massive blue Digimon asks the group, turning out to be a SumoGaomon.
Recognizing the Diamond shapes on the back of his palms the group exclaims “Tim?!” “Yeah, that is my name, how did you know?” He asks before noticing the little details on each of his friends’ new forms, giving him good indicators who everyone is. “Oh it´s you guys, I´m glad I found you!” He says, grabbing all of them for a big hug.
“Hey, I don´t want to crash the party, but you guys roughed up my boys quite a bit. You guys are strong for some Rookie Digimon, let me take a crack at you guys!”
He moves in, ready to fight the group. All of them getting ready to fight the champion level Digimon. “This is going to be hard guys; he is a whole stage above us.” Shrubie whispers to everyone else.
Ogremon moves in to swing his giant club at the group, Tim intercepting it thanks to his physique being able to hold him off, albeit with slight shaking in his legs.
Shrubie and Alaric jump up to throw shards of ice and projectiles infused with lunar energy respectively, making Ogremon use some of his strength to guard, lessening the burden on Tim. Iku meanwhile, circles Ogremon scratching his legs, trying to get him off balance. Riikka continues shooting bubbles at him but sadly they don´t have much of an effect with her not even being a rookie level Digimon.
Despite their efforts as a group, Ogremon manages to push back Tim, shoving the chubby Gaomon back with his club, making him clash against the battery in the back. Riikka getting distraught by seeing Tim getting hurt like that, becomes enveloped in a white light. Her form once more changing. She starts growing legs and arms again, now sprouting big claws on her arms. Her head takes a dinosaur like shape, her hair remaining on top of it. Before her transformation finishes, one final change occurs. Her stuffed body changing into brightly coloured Lego bricks. Her transformation to ToyAgumon being finished.
“Wow.” The others exclaim. “So, what. You think one more pesky rookie will change your chances?” Ogremon swings at Riikka, but his swing gets interrupted again by Tim, who managed to get back on his feet. “Now guys! Focus on his legs!”
Riikka exclaims, shooting little toy-shaped flames at Ogremons legs. Alaric and Shrubie immediately follow up with their respective projectiles, continuing to strike at Ogremons legs, making him slowly lose balance.
To finish it off, Iku proceeds to scratch the legs, allowing Tim to push Ogremon onto his back. With Ogremon lying sprawled on the floor, Tim decides to move in for the final blow, jumping into the air and landing on Ogremon with a belly flop, the force of Tim´s weight knocking Ogremon unconscious. The remaining Goblimon decide to flee, a few of them dragging their leader away.

“Victory!” Our group exclaims, moving together for another group hug.
“I can´t believe you digivolved during the battle Riikka!” Iku exclaims.
“Well, I was really worried about Tim.” She responds with a blush.
“Aww thank you Riikka.” Tim gives her a pat on the head with his big hand.
“What do we do now?” Shrubie asks the others. “Well guess we gotta explore and find a way back.” Alaric chimes in. “Yeah, we need to figure out what is actually going on.” Tim responds. “Well time for adventure!” Riikka exclaims, excited to explore this world. “Time for adventure!” The others chime in. And so, our groups Adventures through the digital world begins, what will they run into, and will they be able to return home?
We will find out when we hear about their journey another time.
