After having fought against his father and won, Bambi was victorious before everyone in the meadow as the new Prince of the Forest. His father, the former Great Prince of the Forest, accepted his defeat as his final withdrawal, leaving the meadow to rest in his home.
Bambi waited a few minutes if any other deer wanted to approach him to challenge him for the title of Prince of the Forest, but apparently no one wanted to do so, everyone deeply respected the new owner of the title. All the deer at the site returned to their usual fighting activities, as is customary in the spring. Bambi thought it was time to go to his home to visit Faline and her newborn children, but then he heard his name "Bambi" So he stopped and turned when he recognized the voice. He was a bit shocked to see that the one who stopped him because of his call was Ronno, his old rival.
Bambi: Ronno! what do you want? Do you want to challenge me one more time?
Ronno: No, Bambi, it's not like that. I actually came just to talk.
Bambi thought that opting for a defensive pose was too much, after all, he and Ronno were adults now, they shouldn't be serious anymore and not create senseless fights, so he rather agreed to hear what Ronno had to say.
Ronno: Like everyone in the meadow, I saw your fight against your father. As a viewer, I congratulate you on your new title; The Prince of the Forest. Bambi, I'll get to the point. We are no longer children, we are no longer a couple of adolescent stags eager to fight over females. I know full well that if I challenged you right now, you would be the winner.
Bambi: What do you mean Ronno?
Ronno: Bambi, we're adults now, so I'm here to apologize for all the times I bothered you when we were young, and for all the bad things I say to you. I no longer want to be your enemy or your rival.
Bambi was shocked, but accepted what was happening. "Thanks Ronno. I accept your apology" he said.
Ronno: One more thing Bambi. Like I said, I'm no match for you and I don't want to challenge you, but I would like to say no offense, I would like to help you carry the huge burden your father has left you.
Bambi: What do you mean Ronno?
Ronno leaned into him, giving him respect.
Ronno: I want to be your partner, to help you take care of the forest. Let me be your right hoof.

Not gonna lie. When I saw the title, I thought Ronno had a different kind of partnership in mind. I guess that's a shipper in me doing the thinking. :D
