So..like..I guess..this is the best I can do.
I pushed myself, tried new things, played with color, did things I'm afraid of, and didn't reference a single thing aside from what normal Shiba Inus have as far as markings.
Uh. I hope you like. Please critique, please be gentle, I'm a little anxious about this. I dunno. Uh. Yeah.
A big thank you to for pestering, nudging, hugging and pushing me into new and wonderful things.
[edit] Just FYI, the character featured here, in this form is shown at around 13 years old. Please be appropriate. Just a forewarning. :)
Also, I realized just now that the coloration is very similar to my friend 's character. This was entirely unintended! These colors just work very well together.

Otis Redding for the win.
Though, I myself have always found it very hard to do that whole "rest your upper wrist on your knee and let your hand hang down just past it* thing for very long.

I have to say, I am totally diggin' how the dock came out. The detail in the planks and even how you made the nails look sunken into the wood is really great. The sheen on the water is also quite nice.
Oh hey, it came out great! Love the shimmery water.

It looks like he has become perturbed about the fact that he has not caught a thing all day long. As far as critique... well, his legs are different sizes. You might start being a bit more careful about relative symmetry?
This reminds me of my dog for some reason, I love it.
That's adorable! I love his "wut" expression. :D
And bandannas are made of epic win.
