Continuing on with "year of the rabbit" thoughts, this is Charmer again, this time showing off and playing a bit more into the "stage magic" end of things with flying playing cards. Got this from WolfPsalm"s stream just recently.
(Sadly, "silly rabbit, tricks are for kids" was just a little too long to fit as the subheading in the title box.)

Yeah, I like her look too. Need to do more of the sillier superhero stories and get back to her at some point. Not bad for a character pretty much created to be the person to talk to in an early story.
Haven't really had a bad picture in the three commissions so far.

"Perhaps you should check your wallet. It's that your card in there?"
Granted, in a world where people can actually do stuff like that, a lot of stage magic would seem less impressive.

"No, mine was the three of clubs." ("Dammit Teller, I told you to stop doing that!")
Evalia: "Now now, there's stage magic and there's real magic. I suspect in a world with real magic, the stage magic is less about believing it's real and more about realizing you don't know how the trick was pulled off. Alternatively, there's a koala with a top hat over there blending the boundaries just a smidge..."

I suspect that if such a world also had means of suppressing magic, a lot of the classic 'escape artist' stunts would involve having some sort of very obvious magic suppressor around as part of the act.
(I know I've talked about the Academy of Super Heroes a lot, but the author did think about things like this: 'Anchors', or people who can naturally suppress magic around them, tend to get hired a lot as things like casino security guards.)

... of course casino security. Can't have the games of totally random chance be influenced by anyone other than the well-trained casino staff.
Of course, the casino staff don't have to influence the odds because the games were originally designed to have odds in the house's favour. With the exception of Blackjack which has too much history to change easily and which only really tilts in the player's favour if the dealer keeps using the same deck for too many hands.
(Case in point, roulette, where all the odds on the betting table are perfectly fair for a 36-slot wheel, but the standard wheel has 38 slots, which gives the house about a 5% advantage.)

Granted, I suspect you might prefer the view of the previous picture of her from kerneldecoy.
Now you see her - yet again!
Three card Monty, where Monty ends up across 3 cards?

I know people talk about fast women, but Charmer's not that sort of girl.
