Roxy led the way once again through the exit. The trio found a sign that led to two different directions. The one to the left read "Devil's Path" while the other read "Angel's Path". Roxy scratched her chin as she made her decision. "Alright, I'll take the angel's path. You and Boris take the devil's path. If I run into that Alice, I'll take her down."
"Why do you want to deal with her on your own?" Henry asked. "You might need our help."
"Because I am stronger than you, more agile than you, and faster than you." Roxy said as she flexed her arms. "Trust me, I can take her down."
"Alright, if you insist." Henry replied.
Roxy walked through the halls until she discovered a cartoon poster that read "The Butcher Gang" "Hmm, Henry didn't mention these three." Roxy said to herself. The poster tore apart and a deformed short-bearded man armed with a wrench shrieked, "PIPER!" The thing jumped out of the wall and made a beeline for Roxy saying, "Blah! Blah! Blah! Blah! Blah!" as if it were mocking her. He tried to give her a whack in the shins but she was taller and quicker. Before the creature could put a mark on her metallic body, she pummeled the thing with her fists until it melted into a puddle of black ink.
Henry and Boris caught up with her. "What happened?" Henry asked.
"What's wrong?" Roxy fumed, "I'll tell you what's wrong! Another cartoon character of yours attacked me! And apparently, he has two chums working with him. They call themselves the Butcher Gang."
Henry face-palmed himself. "Oh, yeah, I did forget about those three."
"And the disfigured bearded guy shrieked 'Piper', is that his name?" Roxy asked.
Henry shook his head, "Erm, no, the bearded one is Charley and he is the leader of the gang. The one dressed like a sailor is Barley. The spider is called 'Edgar'. They are supposed to be bullies who pick on Bendy." Roxanne sighed. "C'mon, let's get out of here." They followed her through more halls, down several flights of stairs, and the three stood in front of an old-fashioned elevator. Henry opened the door and allowed Roxy to go in. "Ladies first." he said.
Roxy gave Henry an unimpressed look with Boris tagging along behind her. Henry shut the door. He saw an arrow drawn towards the level 9 button. He pressed it and the elevator began to take the three several floors below. "Hopefully, we can get this over with and ditch her like the same we did to Mr. Lawrence." Roxy muttered with her arms crossed.
Roxy's ears perked when she heard Alice Angel's voice. "You're so interesting...so different. I have to say I'm an instant fan."
"Naturally, I'm everyone's favorite!" Roxy replied as she swished her hair and tail. Henry had to hide a smirk.
"Looks like you got a date with an angel!" Alice continued. "Come to me now. Level 9. Just follow the screams." The elevator came to a stop and the doors opened. "Come on, step out of your cage. There's a whole twisted world out here." Alice laughed. The trio walked down a flight of stairs and walked towards a big sign that read "She's Quite a Gal!" with the angel's head above it and hands below it. In front of them were two mechanical doors that were locked. Alice opened the door for the three to come through. They passed through another hall filled with machinery. Next they found a wide room filled with the dead clones of Boris and Piper.
Roxy gasped in shock. "I saw a copy of Boris in a similar state as this one on the upper floors earlier! I thought it may have been Sammy Lawrence but now I know who did this! This Alice is a twisted psycho! She is just as horrible as Vanny!" She found a group of board lying atop of barrels in a pool of ink. Boris took a step backwards; unwilling to venture forward. Henry followed Roxy as they walked across the planks of wood.
Alice spoke again through the speakers in the room. "Look around. It took so many of them to make me so beautiful." Referring to the dead clones. "Anything less than perfect was left behind. I had to do it. She made me."
"Don't tell me she's working with Vanny too!" Roxy growled. They arrived at a pair of mechanical doors that slid open at arrival. Roxy and Henry passed through a long hallway of gizmos and gadgets until they found themselves in a wide room. At the other end was a wide window. To their right was Alice Angel. On their left was another Piper clone strapped to a metal table. It writhed in agony as Alice Angel electrocuted it. The clone's head leaned forward, lifeless.
Alice faced Roxy and Henry. "Hmm, now we come to the question...Do I kill you?... Do I tear you apart to my heart's delight? The choices of the beautiful are unbearable. How's a girl to choose?" the psychotic angel giggled. Then she spoke angrily, "Take this little freak for instance!" pointing at the deceased clone. "He crawled in here...trailing his tainted ink to my door! It could've touched me! It could've pulled me back!!"
Roxy understood what Alice meant by that."Y-you're Susie Campbell--the actress!" But Roxy also knew just like Sammy, she was corrupted and transformed by the ink.
"Do you know what it's like? Living in the dark puddles?" Alice asked. "It's a buzzing, screaming well of voices! Bits of your mind, swimming...like...like fish in a bowl! The first time I was born from its' inky womb, I was a wiggling, pussing, shapeless slug. The second time...well...It made me an angel! I will not let that demon touch me again. I'm so close now. So...almost perfect."
Roxy chuckled, "Not as perfect as I am." Roxy posed in front of Alice. "I came fresh from the manufacturer's box without having to go through all that madness!"
Alice looked straight at Alice and spoke, "Turn your head left, darling." Roxy did what she was told. "Now let me see your right." Roxy showed her. Alice shook her head, "I've seen better. All that dirt in your hair and those mild scratches on you metal body--you really need a do-over! Not like I did of course. You need more help to solve the problem of your complexion. You wouldn't want someone seeing you like that!"
Roxy clenched her fists. "YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME!?"
"Oh, sweetheart, I don't think I'm better than you." She kneeled to have eye-to-eye level with her. "I AM BETTER THAN YOU!" Henry saw that Alice Angel was intentionally getting under Roxy's skin. Roxy roared and tried to lunge at Alice. She hit the window with a "thwack!" without even shattering it. "It's shatter-proof." Alice giggled at the wolfess.
"Are you working with Vanny?" Henry asked.
"I've heard of that white rabbit woman. No, I work for only myself." Alice said.
"You think you're so perfect." Roxy growled. "You are NOTHING!"
"Henry, keep her under control." Alice said. "That fleabag has such a temper." she whispered.
"I HEARD THAT!" Roxy snapped.
Henry placed his hand on Roxanne's shoulder. "Alice is trying to toy with your temper. Don't let her mess with you." Roxanne nodded, took a few deep breaths, and stood with her hands on her hips.
Alice said, "Yes, I will spare you. For now. Better yet...I'll even let you ascend and leave this place. If you will do a few eensey weensey little favors for me first."
"Like what?" Roxy demanded.
"Return to the lift my little errand boy and wolf. We have work to do!"
Roxy and Henry left the room. "How are you feeling?" Henry asked.
"I've never seen someone insult me like that before!" Roxanne replied. "Such audacity!"
"We need you right now to help us escape, Roxy." Henry said. "The sooner you leave this place, the quicker you'll see your fans again." Roxanne's ears perked. Henry continued to rebuild her confidence. "You'll not only be the best animatronic, you'll be a hero. You'll be remembered as the wolf who not only saved the Mega Pizzaplex but also as the wolf who saved Joey Drew Studios. Keep your confidence up and you'll be a winner!"
"And Alice Angel is the loser." Roxy beamed.
"Bullies never win." Henry nodded.
"Nobody likes a loser." Roxy smirked. Henry felt she was starting to on an ego trip again, so he decided to stop right there.
"My machines are hungry. Gather me some spare parts! Take the wrench on the shelf." Henry found the wrench and took it. There are so few rules to our world now. So little truths. But there is one rule we all know and respect down here. Beware the ink demon. Stay out in the open too long and he will find you." Alice warned in a sing-song voice. "For if you see him, you'd better hide. If you don't, well, I enjoyed our date. Now, let us begin our work." Alice continued as they reached the appointed floor, "Have you seen him? The ink demon? They say he hears everything. Every creak of the floor. Every rustle of paper. I wouldn't run so fast if I were you. You never know what will draw him in." Alice laughed as she tried to scare them.
The duo entered a room full of shelves and found mechanical parts scattered all over the inky floor. "These pieces look familiar." Roxy said. "I've seen them at the Parts and Service Maintenance Floor at the Pizzaplex."
"How about this? I'll make it easy for you." Alice spoke through the speakers again. "Use HER parts!"
Henry found a mechanical white arm on the ground and picked it up. He showed it to Roxy.
"CHICA!" Roxy screamed. Roxanne searched the room finding another arm and two disembodied legs. She even found her beak and voice box in the ink.
"Hey, I think I found her!" Henry called across the room. Roxy caught up to Henry. Chica was lying on the floor with her head and body facing the ceiling.
"Give me that wrench!" Roxanne shouted. Henry handed the tool to her. Roxy managed to repair Chica's voice box. She propped her best friend against the wall and then began to reattach her arms.
Henry decided to test Chica just in case she was still infected by the virus Vanny gave her. "Excuse me, Chica, were you looking for a little boy named Henry?"
Chica gasped, "Oh my god! Gregory is in danger!"
"Are you interested in handing him over to Vanny?" Roxy asked.
"No, no, no! Alice Angel captured me, shocked me with the electric currents (which deleted the virus), then tore me apart and left me here as scrap metal! What I was saying was that Alice Angel kidnapped Gregory and she has plans for him!" Henry and Roxy's eyes grew as wide as saucers.
"That monster!" Roxy said. "That Alice Angel won't get away with this!"
Yes, Chica is back, cured, and once repaired is going to join Roxy and Henry on their quest. Enjoy the chapter!
