A powerful B&W sketch. Please open it in full resolution. Look at the smudging work that was done on the vest, the slight streaks on the cheek and muzzle, and the texture in the inner ear fur. It offers a combination of texture and depth to the piece as well as an old-timey photograph feel. I very much enjoy the black speckles on the background around the neck. The black peppering on Edwin's fur is important to his character, but you do not see much of it above his shoulders... so the solution is to add it subtly to the background. Lastly, I love that confident pose and smug expression. The artist was able to develop all that from a simple prompt and reference, which is impressive!
Detail = below Some. The simplicity is key to this piece. Also, the smudging adds a surprising amount of texture to the piece.
Shape & Borders = Just above Soft, Rounded Lines. There are few straight lines and sharp angles in this piece. The smudging adds a softness not typically seen in a sketch with thick line work.
Anthro type = Anthro. Edwin has a snout and the ears are convincing.
Furry Art Style Category = Toony, all those rounded lines place this piece firmly in the Toony category.
