sound of a screeching recrod
Yup, that is me. I am a deer again. You probably are wondering by now why this happens so regularly? Well, lemme tell you...
I am not 100 percent sure either.
*the blue deer-man laughs in a bleating manner, and you are not sure how serious that laughter is.*
No seriously, I have just a hypothesis of why I am more prone to transform into this cervine version of myself during winter time. And yes, it is hypothesis, not theory. Theory means a hypothesis has been examined and tested several times, until the result stayed the same. Hypothesis = unproven and needs testing, theory = proven and tested several times. Ooops, sorry for nerding out there.
Anyhow, my hypothesis is following. We do know that my medallion reacts to active mental stimuli from those people with draconic powers or draconic souls. Because I let some of my human friends try to use the medallion on themselves, yet the magic trinket would not react, no matter how much they focused on transforming themselves, or others.
But the very same also happens when it comes to passive, or rather, subconscious stimuli. Like when I just huff out a wish or desire, even if subconsciously. It works on myself, or others like me, but not on humans without any draconic inclination or association.
Yet such transformations happens during certain times of the year, despite myself not wording out certain desires or thoughts.
So here is my hypothesis. The medallion can react to certain stimuli from non-draconic inclined people if they are thought of or desired by a large amount of people. Like when too many people at once think about reindeer, you know? I mean, just go into a shopping mall and you hear songs like 'Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer' on repeat. This would put a certain picture into the mind of the people there, fully subconsciouly.
And with my medallion acting like a big antenna to all those mental images, it would start upon these 'suggestions' and initiate a transformation. So for winter you often see me unintended transform into a deer, or sometimes a polar bear, or into a bunny upon easter times. Because humans are so suggestable and easily manipulated as what is going on in their minds, that I have to live out their mental associations.
Now if you excuse me, I will have to look around finally for some sort of magical faraday cage for this little magical snowflake. And also getting some hay to finish off these deer-urges, at least until my little trinket has recharged again.
So yeah, to all you magical inclined folks out there, never underestimate the power of subconscious suggestions in large numbers.
Yeah, I don't look too impressed really anymore with these sudden transformations into deer any other forms during certain times of the year. Silverclaw1 surely managed to bring out my attitude perfectly.
