Aria looked at you nervously as you bent down to pet her, but quickly began purring happily as you patted her head. She was completely helpless when you lifted her effortlessly into the air....

Makes me wonder if you can pick a yinglet up by the scruff. I doubt it, there seems to be little in their design to make them less of a troublemaker. But it would be humiliating, which definitely is a thing. Hm.
I don't know. I don't know much about yinglets.
It is definitely a bit humiliating though.

They're from the comic "Out-of-Placers" by Valsalia, which starts here. I highly recommend it. They're little rat/weasel/bird/kobold critters, three feet tall, stick-like arms and legs, a giant shelltooth that makes it impossible to say "th" sounds, biology that makes them ADHD-ridden little gremlins, and a culture that sees nothing wrong with digging through the cast-offs and trash of "greater" species which earns them the slur "scav" (for "scavenger").
And then a human male gets turned into a female yinglet, and has to deal with all the humiliation and frustration that results. He has been desperately avoiding thinking about the fact that he's a member of a species (and gender) that lays eggs. ^_^;;
I actually created one for myself, and started writing a story series that takes place in modern-day Earth, where a human (basically me) gets turned into one. The comic exists in-universe, which sometimes makes things awkward. She has to deal with confusion and fear from people who aren't familiar with it, and expectations and stereotypes from people who are. While trying to manage a Twitter account and deal with people who aren't willing to believe she's real (both online and off, people sometimes think she's some sort of costume or puppet or animatronic or other thing). It's been a fun thing but I'm currently in a slump because of stress and stuff. ^_^;;

Yes, I have actually been reading the comic. I just don't consider myself an expert on yinglets. I know many people are very interested in them and their lore.
I like the idea behind your stories as well. I hope you find the motivation to continue. =3

Fair enough, sorry. I just get carried away when I start talking about it. ^_^;;
That's alright. It's nice to hear someone excited about a project they are working on. =3
she looks like she just got caught stealing food from someone's plate and now she's both in trouble and foodless
