Menshi a long ways back found an young dragon down on his luck and desperately (almost life-threateningly) in need of a family. He wasn't supposed to but...his pacifist nature couldn't let the poor thing suffer. So...for the first, and so far to date, only time, he used one of his crystals to turn Saber into a Crystal Dragon, and adopted him as his own son. It took some time for Saber to get used to his life being much, MUCH bigger...and MUCH 'heftier'...but he's grown to love it over the years. Currently, he lives away from Fieros with another family of massive dragons...but he still pops in from time and time to visit his father and spend some time indulging eachother in their vices.
