Edwin Sketch-a-Week: W01

There are two features which make this piece striking. First, the mute color pallet blends well together. The spots do a great job of keeping the furred places visually interesting and the vest/shirt ensemble compliment each other well. The blue eye is a nice pop of color. Second, the pose and facial expression establish a unique mood. Edwin is typically shown as grumpy, but this suggests a degree of arrogance which I find delightful.
Detail = just below Some. Many of the details are simplified. This gives the outfit a crisp feel to it, just look at the wrinkle-less vest! It enhances the esthetic, allowing for the body and outfit to stand out from their neighboring parts while accentuating the silhouette/pose.
Shape & Borders = shy of Sharp, Hard Lines. The boundaries are clearly defined in this piece and most of the lines are relatively straight.
Anthro type = Anthro.
