On the 12 day of Christmas a creature came to me...
SO SOME EXPLAINING-
This weeks word was ‘Victorian’ and considering the season I was tempted to do my own take on the ghosts from ‘A Christmas carol’. But I wanted to redraw my dumpy little antler creature from previous years too:

Then i thought of a new ghost - The ghost of Christmas discarded. I think the Victorians were when Christmas really go into the swing of being commercialized, and I imagine a ghost forming out of the disposed Christmas items. Holly leaves, threads of tin tinsel and maybe a broken lead toy (the one up top is a headless lead bull toy). These little spirits would disperse rather quickly, much like the sad feelings once the season is all over and replaced with the hope of a new year.
But as plastics and more rampant consumerism came about, so did more and more of these spirits. They hang around longer, too. The one below is made of a discarded cracker, felt antlers plastic bows and sequins.
If you’ve ever seen the bits of rubbish on the road the bin collection after christmas; you’ll know what i mean.
They look cute and just bimble around, but they brown about lingering feelings and serve as a warning to maybe do better next year and take less for granted.
And thats yer lot! I’m sure more horrible Christmas based besties will be drawn next year.
