So I was browsing for some magitek armor models to print, and could not find any. So I designed, printed, built, and painted three of them. They're up for sale on HERE currently but I can also print them for people as well.
In case it wasn't obvious FF6 is one of my all time favorites, and I'm really happy with how they came out!

same. I was digging around for stuff to paint because I don't have enough stuff to paint (a lie) and couldn't find anything.
did you end up just referencing FF6 art for this, or did you have a look at the FF14 models for these? The Garlean Empire of FF14 follows that "Final Fantasy Theme Park" design in that they employ a lot of Magitek and enemy types that FF6 had going on, and thus means they have plenty of 3D models there.
I did, I referenced it somewhat but tried to stick with the original sprites as much as possible. They were helpful in giving me ideas for how to detail the back sides of the models, especially. There's model rips floating around that you can look at, but they are more like references to the originals and not direct translations.
I'm in the weird part of the internet again, aren't I?
How did I. Wow.
Great job.

The only thing weird about this pic is that it's not gratuitous monster titties
I've been listening to a constant stream of remixes of various tracks the whole time I paint them
I'd technically have to paint one red for that. I'm considering printing a few more out to do the palette swap versions but I've already got a significant backlog of unpainted stuff as it is.
Awesome. You should also make Air Force and the ultimate: Vector itself!
well check my gallery for Air Force, I was uploading it probably at the same time you made this comment.
