My plan for 2023 is start to learn 3D (again), and last night I wanted to start with a very basic thing.
This was just an experiment, don't expect a No Vacancy 3D game soon. Need to practice lot of stuffs.

Vr no vacancy game would be cool if you evef find someone for it
I've found blender isn't terribly difficult to use for sculpting (best of all it's free).
It's got a bit of a learning curve to it, but luckily there are tutorials everywhere for just about anything you could need to do with it, including the UV mapping you'll need to texture characters with photoshop/gimp images instead of the in app tools, rigging character models so you can pose them, and animation.
Sketchup is quite intuitive as far as architecture type design is concerned, but if you want the free version, you'd need to either use their web-app, or download a Sketchup Make 2017 installer from a third party (as they've removed it from their website entirely in recent months). Here they are in My Google Drive if you'd like that.
