Some friends of mine really liked the piece with Deluxe Paint III's UI in the image along with my CRT edits, so I'm gonna put that into scraps (Edit: I've taken it out of scraps since you all seem to like the effects and UI addition a lot also) and link the original to here, please check out the original for more context and the original look.

Yesss i can see the CRT sub-pixels <3 my childhood was CRT screens. This is giving a little nostalgia to me.
Also i had no idea the UI of that program looks so cool. I mean, it is the 80s after all B)

Yep haha, gotta have those phosphor dots represented to add that layer of authenticity. Also, the feeling is mutual; as I grew up with CRTs as well haha.
Deluxe Paint III has a very nice GUI, I can agree, and a fun fact about it - the colours of the GUI change in regards to the users selected palette, meaning the program itself doesn't take up any colours to function, since it uses what the artist decides is the palette for the art piece, while also giving a slight bit of customization.
Also if you like how Deluxe Paint's GUI looks, you should see how Amiga Workbench 1.3 looks haha.

epic.
when drawn on a CRT oddly makes them super detailed when looking at a LCD

Since "pixels" on a CRT are usually displayed over multiple phosphor dot clusters it ends up softening them, something LCDs don't do; The softening effect from CRTs is something a lot of old pixel art utilized to give the illusion of gradients and detail, which is also why they look grainy and terrible on a LCD since it lacks any form of softening.
There's a few ways to loosely mimic the effect like my take above, but it won't ever be as perfect as just displaying pixel art on a CRT.

I'm a massive Commodore fan too, but I'm more of a PET and VIC-20 guy.
