"...I know that Tia was the first one that I loved and the others that followed. Tia was never very friendly, but I was on the other hand. The only other person I believe she truly has a heart for is Proto. I will say at first, she just wanted me to obtain others so our influence could be unbreakable and immortal similar to ourselves. I, never saw that part, I always treated those who fell in love with me as my equal. She thought of it as "Castle Building" and our descendants to be the bricks and foundation to our legacy. I blame that she's a Tiamat, a being who does not have the human ideals that I was grown up with. I do not like the idea of mingling with mortals most of the time. The idea that I will inevitably outlive them and even giving them extended life...
They are eventually all returned to the sea of souls if they are not divine themselves. I have watched entire species, empires, hold my last name. I have watched countless and different forms of worship and religion all build around me. Only to watch it eventually fall, and crumble into ash as something new is born from it. I do not say this to make you feel sorrow, I think there's some form of beauty to it. I sometimes wonder if this makes me a bad person or if I'm forgoing my code as a knight. I just want to make others happy, and I am not a stranger for those who have also taken advantage of that happiness I wish to bring them. Maybe I fall in love too easily, as a being of infinite bodies, infinite expanse... All running under one mind... I know for a fact that Captain PiK is Aromantic, something we’ve talked about briefly. How he cannot understand me showing my love to so many other people. That he can’t seemingly make any connection to the people he’s with. Hm..." -Thomza Materia
Something I wanted to portray, something I wanted to show off. It is stated in the lore that Tia really has a hatred towards mortals and other people outside of her small bubble. Seeing them as most of the time, as resources or something she can brush aside. The Dragon-like and evil mindset of her to contrast with Thomza's more heroic personality. She does not stand in the way of course, and she doesn't treat Thomza's partners with ill will. Although she does expect some sort of transaction out of it being... An evil queen and all. Aellea? She is immortal similar to Thomza and Tia and will not wither away. For Thomza has been alive for 10 cycles over and has had countless partners, countless children, and even gained the title "Father of all Dragons" over time. That he is practically infinite and his bodies are hive minded, spread across dimensions to fight the Faceless Threat.
He of course sometimes finds people, he sometimes will form bonds with them, and he will then start another line of lineage of heroes he hopes that hold the same values he does. Unfortunately, this is not always the case and Thomza has had his fair of lines that were unbelievably evil and some that were good or even neutral. The image of course depicting the castle, and the endless photos of people he was or is still with. Examples being Laura and even Ruem (owned by Fethurz as we're working on something and a brand-new story arc entirely that's loosely connected to skin to scales...) and so many others that are not shown or even mentioned. However, Thomza will remember every single last one. He's a god after all, a maskless beast who pretends to be human. The fake stars above his head and the photos acting just as Tia wanted. As Bricks that will eventually lead up to a magnificent throne room where she may lay. A tinge of sadness and even darkness in this image as well is something I wanted. We also have Aellea's goopy form coming down and a reminder that Chaos is still here. Paradox Tia, and her multiple heads pointing and choosing what is the best choice for him. Pruning out those would take advantage of him and trying to figure out who would treat him the best. There's also Kobolds, Hydras, weird Aliens, all sorts of stuff depicted in the other photos...
The relationship they share is truly, alien.
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system. There are also many satirical tones as well...
