Readily volunteering first, Solstice stepped into the bright circle and immediately began to feel the change.

As the world seemed to grow all around her, she felt herself becoming lighter! So light, in fact, that she her transformation completed, she felt herself hovering above the ground.

Surprised, Solstice clung tightly to her flower for support when...

As Solstice turned to look at the flower that appeared beside her, she felt the hand of an Istrala lifting her up. It was mine.

With great drama, I proclaimed "It's been 3,000 years..."

"It's been like 30 seconds, Kat," Solstice said in her new, tiny floette voice.

"...Oh right," I replied. "I get those two mixed up sometimes. How do you feel?"

"Much smaller," she answered.

"Then my work here is done."
