Serendipity (by Alita_Berserker)
The pic was inspired by this song
"In hoc loco te evoco, antiquum temporis et spatii incantamentum.
Exaudi orationem meam et corpus eius ad longinquum tempus reduc"
Translation:
"I summon you among this place, ancient spell of time and space.
Hear my prayer and (send) bring back his body to a distant time"
Serendipity is the ability to make discoveries by chance or, even,
to find an unsolicited and unexpected thing in the process of studying another.
This is a fairly common phenomenon among scholars and inventors.
Although Silva has grown into a rather skilled enchantress over the years,
she sometimes enjoys dusting off some old grimoire, in search of ancient and forgotten rituals and spells.
In fact, one can never know what is hidden among the wisdom of the ancestors.
And here, after various searches, an incomplete formulary falls into her hands,
and with patience the vixen decides to complete and translate it.
Among the many formulas, one stands out in particular for its peculiarity:
a spell that would be able to bring a person or an object back in time.
Following various experiments, the spell proves to be safe and Silva is persuaded to talk about it to Borgon,
who gladly accepts the prospect of being able to navigate the temporal waves like a rookie sailor.
In the early evening, one of the rooms of the castle lights up with purple reflections, while Latin words echo within the walls.
A big explosion, lots of smoke, and Silva's confident smile turns into a shocked expression.
The prince hasn't gone back in time at all, and in his place a giant creature looks at the enchantress with a doubtful gaze.
Unfortunately, Latin is sometimes an ambiguous language with multiple meanings.
Looks like the spell didn't take Borgon back in time, but simply brought his body back to the shape of one of his ancestors, that of the Scultone!
Still, the test wasn't a total failure.
Being able to turn the prince into a giant feral dragon might come in handy someday.
But for now Silva has other thoughts on her mind.
First of all, making her sovereign return to more humanoid features!
It really took me some time to come up with this fancy idea, I have to be honest ^^
Especially to write the spell in latin. As an italian, I have a special place in my art for this ancient language, and I always feel bad when in tv series and movies they use it the wrong way or with for very short sentences.
I hope that you'll enjoy Silva's long spell formula for a change :D
I wanna give special credits to my friend Alita_Berserker for turning my concept into a wonderful piece of art. She cured also the choreography, and I have to say I'm very very satisfied with the result!
This is also an occasion to see my dragon prince in his feral form. One of his ancestor is the Scultone, a dragon that it was told to live in the chasm of Golgo, in South Italy.
Of course Borgon is only partially taking its shape due to Silva's failed spell :D

Well, that was quite an experience, I have to say
Yeah, my friend Alita is a great artist
I'll be curious to see if this form will be seen in the future.
Well, this is actually also a foreshadow for a future project
The crown was affected, but the clothes were not? <Gasp> Is it part of the body and not some kind of headpiece at all? ^ ^
The crown is a magical artifact that adapts to the body of the prince/princess that wears it ^^
He's not complaining, he's just mindly disappointed
Imagine being turned in a big dragon into a tiny room
