Posted a bit of my practice sling and also had this doodle sitting around about drekir slinging so here is a chance to briefly speak on it. One of my favorite passtimes is slinging and I've been doing it off and on since around 2016 or so. I've gotten to a pretty solid point of accuracy and chances are drekir could too.

A sling, at the end of the day, is a lever more than anything and drekir could (and would probably) use them as a simple hunting weapon. They are very simple to make and can be made in a variety of ways or with a variety of materials and are very very effective, being used for hunting and warfare all over the world at different times and in different ways. Of course this is just one of em!

A lot of styles that need to go over the head require the drek the to lower their head so their long neck isn't in the way but should work fine with careful footwork. This could be a helicopter style, byzantine style, some sort of figure 8 etc. A sling is simple to make but pretty hard to use so a drek would need to put a lot of practice into it.

They could use a good variety of projectiles, good stones are the obvious one but things like Clay, Lead, or Copper projectiles as well as things like spellflint or small elemental mana filled breakable vessels are all viable for a variety of uses.
