When Mio and Yuuko visit Mai's house to try and befriend her dogs once again, it ends exactly as it was to be expected.

What happens afterwards will change their doggy daily lives...

School had just ended for the day with Mio and Yuuko making their way to Mai’s house. The two had a particularly nasty (but comical) encounter with her dogs when she was walking them, but they were still determined to make peace with them.

“Maybe we weren’t looking at the right ones!”

Mio looked at her brown haired friend with a confused look and a “Hah?”

“Well think about it! Even dogs have their own personalities too, so maybe we just weren’t looking at them the way we should have from the beginning! I think I have the same kind of energy as Pyon-san, so let’s switch which dogs we’ll meet first today!”

There may have been some kind of logic in Yuuko’s explanation, but Mio sighed as she said it in such a strange way. “I guess we can give it a try,” Mio said with a sigh and a smile.

Soon, they were in front of their friend’s front door, to which she silently opened in her usual stoic personality.

“Hey, Mai! We’re ready for round two with Pyon and Oguri Cap today!” Yuuko said excitedly.

As expected, Mai quietly nodded and led them inside where her dogs were also waiting expectantly for their owner. Even though they were ready to make friends with the dogs, they couldn’t help but feel nervous ever since their last encounter.

“Okay… We take it slow, right?” Yuuko asked Mio as she turned her head to her.

“Right,” Mio confirmed, giving an overly serious nod.

With that the two squatted down to the dogs’ level, with Mio in front of Oguri and Yuuko in front of Pyon. Slowly, they each held a hand close to the dogs’ noses rather than trying to imply for them to shake like Yuuko had done before. Surprisingly, the brown and white dog respectively did not immediately bit them and instead curiously sniffed at their knuckles. Mio and Yuuko sighed in relief, happy that they were finally spared this time.

…That is until both dogs bit their hands in sync.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!”

Likewise, the two girls also screamed in sync not unlike before as the roof of Mai’s home was obliterated by two beams of pain that shot out from their mouths.

After a few more moments of pain, reality set back in as Mio and Yuuko held their hands in pain while twitching on the floor with their heads hanging down.

Throughout the entirety of the Mai simply watched in silence as she normally did as her dogs continued to sit in place and pant as though nothing significant happened. That’s when a desire suddenly made itself known in her mind, to which she unhesitatingly followed it. Not breaking her stoic behavior, she walked in front of her two friends before softly patting them on the head.

Mio and Yuuko pulled their heads up in surprise at the feeling before slowly closing their eyes in content as Mai started petting their heads, her hand on each head feeling suddenly comfortable to the two friends. It felt so nice to them that they unknowingly began to stick their tongues out like it was a natural thing, just like the dogs that were now sitting on each side of Mai. Their tongues flattened out and the colors shifted to look more like the dogs’ tongues, even their mouths mimicking the dopey smiles Pyon and Oguri had on their snouts.

It just so happened that Mio and Yuuko’s faces began to push out somewhat, pushing out halfway from their faces to resemble the dogs that bit them respectively, with Yuuko’s partial muzzle becoming broader and wider to match that of Pyon’s. Without even missing a beat, Mai’s hands then traced down their heads and faces to gently caress their new half muzzles, causing the two to instinctually press their faces affectionately into her hands.

Then suddenly, a pinching sensation tugged at the tips of their ears, providing them with a moment of lucidity.

“Uh, Mai? Why are you holding our heads like dogs?” Mio asked, tilting her head in curiosity.

“But more importantly, why do my ears feel weird?” Yuuko said as she raised her hand to rub her ears.

But before anything else could be said or done, Mai was already in action, moving her hands back up the sides of their heads before softly scratching behind their ears. This immediately caused them to fall back into a sense of bliss as she relieved discomfort in their ears, their eyes closed once again in pleasure, missing the fact that Mai was able to hold more and more of their ears with each scratch as they stretched out into floppy ends, Yuuko’s having a bit more length.

Once they reached lengths that properly reflected their canine counterparts, fur spread out on their faces from under their hair, with Mio’s fur being light brown with a distinct white stripe travelling perfect down the middle of her face until it reached the bridge of her nose snout where it widened to cover the small area of her muzzle while Yuuko’s was a simple coat of creamy white fur.

When the fur finally reached the tips of their nose, the spread stopped there as said tips began to change shape. Both noses became wider and rounder with a doggish leathery feel to them. Mio’s became thicker and more of a rectangle in shape while Yuuko’s nose had become more triangular, allowing them to sniff Mai’s scent more deeply, causing something inside of them to feel more closely bonded to the quiet girl in a way they couldn’t quite understand just yet.

Meanwhile, the fur on Mio and Yuuko’s faces continued travelling down their necks to the rest of their body. When it reached their the ends of their arms, their hands began to change as well, becoming more paw-like as fur enveloped them, with Mio’s paw hands instead being covered with white fur identical to the fur on her snout. The same changes happened as brown fur turned to white as the y reached her feet, both of their changes happening the same way under their socks. As paw pads swelled on both their hands and feet, they couldn’t help but feel awkward with the cloth on their paw feet, but they didn’t want to move away from Mai’s wonderful scratches, so the two opted to simply shake and squirm their paw feet out of their socks, their new paws prompting them to readjust their posture to sit in on their haunches, again, not unlike Pyon and Oguri Cap were currently.

As the wave of fur covered their rears, a new straining sensation made itself known, pressing against their panties. Underneath the skirts of their school uniforms, the backsides of said panties began to tent from something pushing against it and wagging. Thankfully for the two, the sensation wasn’t a painful one, but it was still quite unusual, causing canine whines to escape their throats, wanting the feelings to be over quickly but neither of them wanting to move from their place as Mio and Yuuko were being petted on the head and back respectively as Mai would to Oguri Cap and Pyon respectively.

Thankfully for the two dog girls, the tension soon turned into relief as a quite audible rip resounded through the house, coming from the girls’ clothing, though no one seemed to pay it any mind. Behind them, their tails had finally strained enough against the panties, causing them to rip a hole through them and allowing them to finally wag freely against, lifting their skirts up a bit as they exposed themselves to the air. This allowed them to show off their furry tails, with Mio’s fluffy brown tail and Yuuko’s thin creamy tail wagging happily against their skirts as they continued to be loved on by their friend.

Friend… The thought about Mai being their friend didn’t sound right…

Owner…? Now that sounded more fitting! They were dog girls after all and were always with Mai, so it logically made sense that Mai was their owner! Pyon and Oguri Cap would obviously then be Yuuko and Mio’s partners then!

The logic quickly cemented in all of their minds as Mai’s dogs and her new dog girls sat expectantly in front of her taking deep, excited breaths, with Pyon and Yuuko flipping side to side with unbound energy while Oguri Cap and Mio at least sat loyally in place as they panted excitedly with their tails thumping against the floor.

That was when Mai stood up and opened a box now containing four leashes which she held up to them. She didn’t say anything, but the sight of the leashes caused the dogs and dog girls to shake and pant increasingly harder, making it near impossible to hold in their excitement with every passing moment. Clearly their owner was doing this on purpose, wanting to know just how much they wanted this. Then after what felt like an eternity to a canine, Mai finally said, “Walk?”

Hakase was once again out on a walk with Sakamoto, which he was thankful he was awake for this time so he wouldn’t be literally dragged into a rude awakening, though being tied to a rope lead was still frustrating to the black cat. Of course, the childish scientist didn’t pay mind to his negative feelings as she was overly enjoying the walk enough to even notice his grievances.

“I wanna get two sharks this time!” she blissfully announced as they walked, which caused the cat to look at her in annoyed disbelief.

“You didn’t even get one last time. What makes you think--!”

But before Sakamoto could finish his sentence, he was suddenly stopped when Hakase abruptly froze. Confused by her action and her now shocked face, he was about to ask why she was acting like that when he looked in the direction she was facing, now paling himself when he witnessed what she was seeing: The same girl, who had caused them so much stress and panic that time after removing the leashes from her dogs, was walking towards them, not only with the same dogs as last time, but now leading two dog girls that looked strangely familiar somehow. The one with blue hair looked just like the one next to her, wearing a blue collar to match the brown dog’s collar, while the brown haired dog girl looked likewise similar to the smaller, longer dog next to her, also wearing a matching red collar.

Thankfully for Hakase and Sakamoto, they were just out of the way of their walking path and the four canines seemed to be in ignorant bliss just to be around their owner. Even Mai didn’t seem to pay any mind to them as she walked them as though she had always done so with the four of them.

When they were finally out of sight, a still frozen Hakase and Sakamoto finally were able to shiver their way back home while muttering the most important fact they got from the close encounter:

“There are four of them now!!”
