Yeeting this tired brain idea at y’all cuz I love the idea of villain AU’s (even for morally grey characters)

This is of course just concepts and I had no idea what I really wanted to do with Zerik but I kinda like this look

Also! I actually drew Ender’s swords?? Accurately? What is this madness. If you were curious how they work, they’re like switch blades. Her swords sheath by collapsing into the hilt/handle(whatever u wanna call it) and open by triggering a spring that allows them to be swapped open by movement, manually, or by the spring. Movement works by having the latch keeping the blades closed moved by pressing a button or via magic stimulation. Once the latch is moved she can swing the sword without her hand in the way and the blade will swing out and lock into place. Manual opening works the same as movement where the latch is unlocked and she can open using small movements and can control how much she wants out using her fingers by blocking the blade from swinging out and having it lock temporarily in the semi-opened position. Spring opening works as it sounds. There is a spring that can be triggered via button or magic that will cause the blades to swing outwards. This is the least favored way to open since she does not have a lot of control over the opening, however it is good for quick blocking. Closing the blades works the same as movement and manual openings, the latch will unlock and she can close them manually or with movement. Her duel blades are her most favored weapon and are locked onto her belt in the back for easy access. The lock on the belt is enchanted and reacts to magic. It is not easily opened otherwise.

Zerik has a large shattered blade held together by shadow magic. It is a corrupted weapon based off the shattered remnants of his sword. The blade channels shadow magic through it, allowing him to corrupt surroundings through what the blade touches. Because of its shattered state, it is a lot more dangerous since the magic is no longer contained properly and unstable.

Weapons work relatively the same (at least Ender’s works exactly the same) as they would in the canon so this counts as worldbuilding/lore :]
